What about a Frontline

The current PvP is awful, and I avoid it. So do many people.

I know the federation vs. Klingon is unbalanced in numbers, so here is the deal...

Make up a Frontline area like we have seen on the show, were the factions face each other in large numbers.
Now most people might say, the federation will outnumber the klingons anyway. Why not add NPC's on each sides to balance it out.

Lets say you create a frontline in the neutral zone like a big fleet action, then you put several NPC Ships fighting between two spawn points and every player is able to jump in at will. Lets say you make 50 vs. 50 ships there, so for every Player that is patricipating one NPC ship vanishes and you would have even numbers on both sides, plus you have finally a PvP Action that it is worth playing with your fleet aswell...

Any thoughts on that?

50 on 50 might be an awfully laggy experience. What your describing is an all player DSE, which would work if there's great loot involved.

Of course there should be a goal, and loot.

Instead of 50 vs 50, it could also work as 25 vs 25, with permanent respawn, so there are always even numbers.

I like the idea, for both ground and space. A goal could simply be to defeat a certain number of enemies, like the SB24 fleet action has (kill 50 ships, kill 30 cruisers, kill 20 battleships...) Some FAs already have huge numbers of ships, so I don't see too much lag risk.

    Frontline scenarios sound awesome.
