So Many Glitches...

Well, To start I am going to address the fact that I have been playing video games since Atari 2600 in 1979...
I am not new to Online game-play or P.C. games for that matter. Everything I say is just my opinion and some of these opinions are based on game-play that I have experienced over the years and with this game.
I am 40 years old, and gaming is my main hobby. I swore I'd never pay a monthly fee to play someone's game... I fell victim to this one... Because it seems to me you have released this game to early, due to all the video glitches and script errors I have encountered, (To many to list, although I have submitted several bug reports). I will say for the most part that STO is a pleasurable experience, But the Glitches are a major set-back, and annoyance!!
My latest annoyance was doing a mission in the raptor System, as a Commander 7. I finished off all the enemies in space, Beamed down to the planet with my team, disabled some tower, ( I don't remember exactly),went to rescue the 7 people i needed to rescue, and two of them glitched. No text box, no interaction what-so-ever. 1 of them i had hit the 'Beam up' text box, and the NPC did not beam up. I have witnessed this same problem on other missions, in another system as well. We, ( I was teamed up), had to drop the mission and start over again. I had to do the same for this mission I was on, losing 20 minutes of time. In my frustration I forced closed STO, ( control, alt, delete), and came here to the Forums.
Another re-occurring problem is NPC ships getting stuck in objects, especially rocks. In some cases, (such as Borg Probes stuck in Cubes), You can not engage them, but they engage you. A real Hindrance, and Annoyance.
Now let's mention Spawning... Both Ground and Space...
I have done the mission 'The Big Dig' several times, and twice I was not able to finish the mission with my friends, because after being killed, I was spawned into a pole. I could not move, roll, or in any way manipulate the graphics to let me go. Once, I respawned, and was not able to move from the spot, and I had a laser coming from me. I waited for the mission to end... When it did, We all respawn back at Camp, and my character was still glitched.
In Space, I have been spawned into Rocks and other Structures, not able to move or get away. I have been spawned or respawned into the middle of Battle in Enemy Signal contacts. Usually spawned in the middle of a Flagship, A couple Battleships, 2 or 3 Magai Escorts, and 5 or 6 Birds-Of-Prey... REALLY??!!
Is this really necessary?? This, I know is not a glitch, but a bad design code. COME ON!!!
Now let's address the fact that higher level players run out of stuff to do and come piddling around in Sectors like Regulus or Sirius, joining in missions or enemy contacts, and the AI adjusts to their level, making it extremely hard for lower level players. ( I have addressed this in the End-Games Forum section).
As I feel right now, Cryptic ought to be paying me 15 dollars a month as a tester, not the other way around to participate in an unfinished product. Of course I understand that Online games are always evolving and changing, (Hopefully getting better), and I try to keep that in mind, But it seems to me this game is BARELY past Beta.
I am not familiar with Cryptic, Though I am familiar with Atari, due to my infatuation with the Gothic Series.
This said, I do tolerate a certain amount of video glitches, But this is getting unbearable. Cryptic needs to step-it-up and iron out these problems. When a player loses valuable time and effort, The experience really suffers. This is not good for the future of Online Gaming. Please see to the issues as soon as possible, and focus on your customers input a little better. We need to be assured that we are not wasting our time and money.
And on the issue of 'Bug Reports'... I have not even seen any of my issues or reports addressed or fixed. Some of them are over a month old, and are common reports. Poor correspondence between Admins and Players, As I have never been notified through E-Mail or other, that my concern was important and is being resolved. If this is the way Subscription Gaming is going to be, I don't want no part of it, and am very disappointed in the callous attitude towards paying customers.

I have been a gamer since the Video Game Industry Crash of 1983 and I agree with many of the points made by the OP. To expound on a few points, the spawn points in both battle formats are very arbitrary. unintended AI spawn point camping does occur on a regular basis and the fact that instances adjust to the highest level character is extremely frustrating to new players. I was participating in the Sirius Sector patrol mission (a Lieutenant level mission) and I saw ship classes that were vastly superior to what a player in a tier 1 or even a tier 2 ship can handle. I witnessed a player get fragged in less than two seconds by a ship and when I CONned the ship, it was 40 levels (yes 40 levels) higher than myself. I was fortunate to be out of engagement range when I warped out to avoid a frag loop. I doubt the player I watched bite it was fortunate. The spawning problem is worse on ground maps. It is no big deal to have 5-8 enemies dump on your position at any time and fleet instances are exercises in severe frustration. The spawn rate of Klingon war targs for targ handlers desperately needs to be curtailed as the AI can spawn more targs than any team can efficiently deal with for the intended level of the mission.

Collision detection, especially on the ground maps needs to be radically adjusted. When a person strikes an object, the slow down or stop outright and attempt to finish the run animation while in complete stun lock. In ground combat, stun lock means death and running into a shrub is enough to stun lock you long enough for the AI opponents to cheap you to death, since they surround you and give you nowhere to run after you get stun locked.

I understand the game is new enough to have plenty of growing pains, but the issues are severe enough to detract from the gameplay. A major patch needs to come out to fix these issues, NOT an expansion, but a legitimate patch. I haven't quite reached the frustration level as the OP, but should Cryptic not resolve these issues, I will not be far behind in my frustration.
