Did I MIss Something?

I have been working on my Lt. Commander Tactical officer recently when I have been in game. Last night I decided to log in to my RA5 Engineer for the first time in a week or two.

What did I miss? It seems that the shields on my cruiser have been nerfed? One hit and my facing shield goes down with no chance of getting it back up. I am using Resilient shield array [Cap] Regen MK X. Yet it does not make a difference. Did they increase the firepower of the top tier enemies or something? I did not have this issue before that I can recall but now it seems my shields drop faster on my cruiser then on my escort. This seems to be the case even against normal weapons like disruptors.

    What enemies are you fighting? If I'm not mistaken, the Borg can keep your shields dropped.

    Yeah this is very, very true. It's one of the things that makes cruisers better thans than science ships. Even if they have full power to shields and I have full power to shields and am using extend shields III I can't keep them up. Also I have every shield buffing skill to max.

    No it is not the Borg ability to drop all of your shields. I went into a system exploration and had to fight some Romulan ships. Their regular disruptors took my forward shield down in one hit. Even one little Bird of Prey took my forward shield down in one or two hits. It was pathetic.

    you weren't nerfed.. the devs felt to make the game fun instead of improving the AI they just made the enemy ships hit harder

    Switch to covariant and you'll be fine.

    the difficulty slider is NOT IN YET !

    they have changed pretty much nothing in the last few weeks !?

    it's possible you were hit by the that one shield glitch you get when switching a shield from one ship to another. That particular glitch makes shields weaker. Another possibility is that you were hit by a high level beam overload.

    But as someone else said, holodeck hasn't seen a patch in a while, and likely won't until Season 1.1 goes live next week, so it isn't anything the devs have done recently.
