He better not quit acting, at least not until his Fringe character Dr W Bell dies or something.

His retirement means diddly, he'd apparently retired before he reprised his role as spock and got a part on fringe. It kinda loses it's oomph when you do it a second time, leaves it wide open for a third and fourth.

He filmed the last of his scenes on fringe and he is damn near 80 I think this may be it!

He's announced his retirement from acting completely. His last role will be an episode of Fringe that will film shortly.
He's an old man. Despite TV making people look sprightly and well, I doubt very much that he'll be up to a filming schedule soon. Fringe was just a favor to Abrams. I can't see him doing anything else.

He helped keep Star Trek alive for years. An amazing person. I believe he has a well deserved retirement and hope he enjoys it.

So? What's the big deal? He's old, has been acting for 60 years. It's time for this old fella to retire.

Good for him, he has given us fans so much. At nearly 80 years old its time for him to have some "Nimoy time". I have no idea if he will ever read this thread or get this in anyway but I personaly thank him for all the work that he has done. If it wern't for strong people like him behind Trek there is no way it would have survived as long as it has. I've never been to fond of vulcans... I'll be honest their lack of emotion never has sat well with me, however there are a few vulcans, that when they come on screen I just get all excited and start cheering and Spock is by far the top of that list. I'm so glad that one of his last tasks as the voice of Star Trek was to greet new players in STO and usher in a new age of Trek.

I wish Mr. Nimoy many, many happy years of retirement. May he live long and prosper. \\/// <(Vulcan hand thingy hehe)

Yeah guy is eighty and it's not like he hasn't had a full career. Im not an actor, but from what I hear filiming schedules can be exhausting probably more so at 80. I didn't realize shatner was pushing eighty as well.
