i am sure you can figure it out. :D

Honestly, I PVP and PVE in the game. And before the nerf bat came out flying my attitude was this:
Ok, this dude obviously can wipe me up. So now I need to use strategy.
While he is using a science skill, I would just regen my hull (cruiser captain) until his ticks down...Then I would fire all I have at him and wear him down.

What I think people are forgetting is: You need to implement some strategy to overcome adversities.
You didn't see Kirk or Picard cry to the gods that the Romulans were overpowered.
They implemented strategy to overcome their opponent and defeat them.

Maybe that should be implemented. Honestly, I feel that nothing should be nerfed in this game. It should have been left the way it was and those that don't use such technologies, find ways to work around it.

Considering the number of "gods" Kirk has defeated, I don't think they would've helped him out anyways. They can be bitter like that.:p

True words, though combat is typically short and in bursts, if people don't think about what they are doing (and just run in) they will typically just die 9 times out of 10 in a group, and 10 times out of 10 if they go alone.

Once that happens enough they will either start to adapt or come on the forums and complain that they are not the awesome captains that they thought they were.......

Dude, I completely agree. There needs to be a place where skill counts more than everyone gets a ribbon system. However, *sharpens red horns* there are times when certain powers will be overpowered, or need some sort of balancing. Example: I decloak, VM, JS, and/or SNB at the right time (since SNB can stack on top of cool down time), target shields, and shred your hull like paper. If done right, your blinded, no shields, and stuck waiting to cool down as your crew flies into space. After a couple of weeks of that, is it skill or OP? Me, I say OP because I am an average player, and a balance ground/space toon. My score should not be over 80% of the competition unless every Fed really sucks at PvP.

MMO PvP becomes all about connection. Its unavoidable that in time the entire community is Vet and 'l33t' and everyone ends up with the perfect combo, never make mistakes and it boils down to who has a 2 second lagg spike.

We shred unpredictable PvP as quick as we shred PvE, making it boring and generic. We have three ships in this game really. Science, Engineering and Tac. The PvP wont carry this game.

That works for ONE opponent. And if ansother fed or two are nearby, they'l rip you appart. STO PvP is NOT meant to be 1 player against another, it is one TEAM against another.

Fair enough but not my point. My point is this: I am an average player and when powers are OP, then it is not strategy. For me it is changing your strategy and working past the nerfs that make you a better player. Most player whom I have known over the years that complain about nerfs, complain because they cannot kill everything in two seconds.

I think that needs to be made clearer...

...one TEAM against another that go all out on one player on that TEAM.

    Nearly every time.

played today and there were pvp changes on the wait screen for one

then my cloaked tier 2 klingon ship looked better- more visible but still transparent

i think they are doing pvp changes now

but i agree- i like being outgunned or whatever - i use a science ship as a fed at tier 2 and
use mask energy sig, tact to torpedos, and tractor beam and stuff

and as a klingon i attack two or three and try to disappear or lead them into death

the only instances i feel utter doom is when me and allies are hopelessly out numbered -but even here- as a fed- head for the asteroids in a run away as best you can with the odds agin ya
