I like the Gorn. And since they are in the game, I like the game. A perfectly circular truth. For a class of creatures that ruled this planet for longer than anyone would care to remember with any sanity intact, Reptiles are scorned beyond reason!

The internet is for Gorn, the internet is for Gorn
i thought this would be a game of exploration. seeking out new life and civilizations. mostly i spin in circles and blow up enemy ships. i like the game for what it is, but after eight years of development, i thought it would be a little more cerebral. criptic could learn a lot from the ppl who developed EVE.

The memo that states that Perpetual developed the game for five years with no content to show for it, and NBC handed it off to Cryptic to do it in 2 years. They did it in 2.5. That memo.
I might love it just as I'm about to play Starwars when it is released
I loved BF2, Killzone and eh I played the original Civilisation for hours and hours on end when I was a kid, played the rest of them as they came out. I'll never even buy another cryptic game unless things really change and I think they will.
The one thing that keeps me paying, actually two things, my little cousins talked me into activating the subscription and I can't help but have little go because it is addictive. Also I know it will get better and better, I'm interested to see how it goes. I'm a developer working on my product all day and it's not easy dealing with users who want different things.
It''s a game worth buying and getting involved in but not one someone should expect to much from and you need patience.
You know, while I agree with your opinion, and the reasonings behind it, I cant help but be reminded of this excerpt from TNG:
Pakled Captain- "Are we strong now?"
Geordi- "You have Photon Torpedos; you are armed to the teeth"
Pakled Engineer- "Teeth are for chewing"
Geordi- ".......Yes, you are strong"
Pakled Captain- "We are smart"

You should not play.
We don't play, we sit in the forums and criticize and critique.
The book would have more content.
Good investment.
