Crashing Issues!

Well this was my second shutdown, i figured my pc got overheated with too much graphic setups. Its not hot in the case and going to clean it (dust free).

What graphic setting should i tone down? I just lower the shadow to basic from high and there something else needed to be adjusted. Im sure i dont need extra driver unless someone got what i have and its safe and realible.

I have...
Intel quad core 2.83 with Win Vista (64bit) w/SP2 and 4GB
Video is NVidia GeForce 9800GT with 512mb

If someone have this video card i have, if patched since july last year what version it is? I remember gotten one for one game and wasnt needed, kept messing up my hardware performance :(

Any suggestion?

Have you disabled 'Dynamic lighting' in Video settings?

I was about to do that too, if no one reply to my topic all i can do is diabled one thing at a time and see how stable it is. Also noticed there control panel for my video that i can disable or enble PhysX (is Enabled) and my video driver verison is 196.21.

Well this Dynamic Lighting disabled really helped, i havent had any problems lately. Thank :)

Under effects try turning off these two settings:

    - Screen-space ambient occlusion
    - Cinematic focus (depth of field)

They make very little difference to your graphics quality, but can be a drag on your performance. There's some other stuff you can try turning off under Effects as well if toning down the above two isn't satisfactory.

Another thing to look at is Anti-Aliasing, on your card you probably don't want it above 2x or 4x. I've gone ahead and turned it off completely since I prefer smoother gaming and can live with a few jaggies here and there. Also Anisotropic Filtering, by default is usually set to max, but there's no need to have it higher than 4x, you simply won't notice the difference unless you're doing side-by-side screenshot comparisons. :)

Also if you still have issues, try limiting the framerate to a steady 30 fps (click the troubleshooting bar to show the option for it).
