Khitomer Accord - Needs Adjustment

This petition is for Cryptic to adjust Khitomer Accord:

Part 1:
  1. Invisible Walls around the Transwarp Gates that prevent manuvering and targeting.
  2. Unknown source of Video Lag for some players
  3. Make it more Player Friendly for players to accomplish the mission Goals in order to reduce player frustration.


Part 3: Reduce the "Zerg" army. Given that Tons of very difficult Borg, in great numbers.

This in part is due to the possibility of Death Penalities being soon implemented, which would compound player annoyance. (Due to the frequency of being killed during this mission).

Also, the Shield Console Bug needs to be looked at and fixed.



Leaving off: Should be like the other STFs, in leaving off where you last was. Because due to Disconnects, Crashes, and leave out for other reasons. Its an inconvience if a group gets seperated and can't add people to keep the group at full strength. So the rest have to work harder or drop the mission altogether, wasting time.


** To Note: For those who managed to succeed in passing the first part of Khitomer Accord, I applaud you. But not everyone is fortunate as you are. So please respect people's opinion and let them add their viewpoints without any trouble.

Not to mention with the Difficulty Sliders, soon being implemented. This level could easily be regarded as the Advanced or Elite selection. So everyone can have both ways. ;)

    The difficulty slider will not affect STFs. Khitomer Accords is not meant for the casual player, it is meant as a high end 5-man encounter that requires gear, skill, planning and coordination. It's fine how it is.

    I disagree, its not fine as it is. Too many people are having trouble with it and too many deaths are occuring, so when the Death Penalty is implemented, it will only cause more problems with the player base.

    So overall, this mission needs revamped.

    Whether you agree or not is irrelevant. The STFs were designed as challenges for the best players and those who would strive to be the best. They are designed to test players in ways ordinary missions cannot. Infected was a stepping stone, an appetizer to prepare us for what is to come. The Cure was a roadblock that only the coordinated and skilled teams could pass, and Khitomer Accords is a test of what we've learned from the prior two.

    They will get harder, not easier. Undine Terradome will undoubtedly be significantly more challenging than Khitomer Accords, and Into the Hive is purportedly ten times more difficult than Infected.

    You may not have to play at that level to enjoy the game, but don't ruin it for those of us that do. You'll get your other content soon enough.

    Actually, I found Terrordome easier then KA.

    I've been throwing myself at KA for 3 days now and haven't succeeded once.

    In what universe are RA6 Borg tougher then RA7 Undine?

    Well pardon my French but what a lot of bull.
    Give me a break... its designed for all players, period. That some find it not challenging enough and others to difficult depends on many factors but not skill only. For your information Terradome is a brease compared to Khitomer but I think you know that already.
    I will grant you the fact that some players are used to rush through content, eyes geared towards the RA5 level only and getting there very fast. Now STF's are not as player friendly content for that kind of players who (at least some) also have difficulty with teamplay; you know who you are.
    Also I agree with you that they should not make STF's easier but when they are bugged as to be a mission breaker... well you know what I mean.
    Teamplay is the key... and that being said, teamplay does not end after you or I have completed a STF.

    The video lag in the first space section appears to be caused by the Dynamic Lighting in a number of cases - if that's turned off, then it clears right up. I'm assuming something's not quite right with the DL in general for the STF's as it doesn't seem to be performing as well in recent weeks.

    Seems fine in the mission/patrol episodes etc though.

    Playing an escort results in about 30 deaths, but it is doable. The difficulty of that mission is way to high, and with the upcoming nerfs, I'll put my escort in the hangar for a while. I'll play this game for fun, and such and hard mission, with it even an upcoming patch to make the player base weaker, less and less people are having fun doing fleet actions.
    I am trying to find someone who cares, but with Cryptic receiving so many complaints, more and more of them are being ignored for lack of staff.

    Yes, Cryptic has an uncanny belief that they think us players enjoy dieing many times per mission. :rolleyes:

    I died more in doing the STFs than all the games I've played in the last 30 years. No Joke.

    Invisible walls and Video lag have nothing to do with skill.

    Zerging mobs can even overwhelm the best of players. Since you mentioned UT, and now that it's out. Please don't say someone can do the second floor without dieing at least once. :rolleyes:

    Ever since the first time I did Khitomer, to avoid that video lag, I minimized all graphics to prevent encountering that lag and ruining the mission.
