Can't get to the Sol System

 I've had so many problems with this game that it has taken me almost a month to get to a point where I can be captain, and now that I'm being prompted to go to the Sol System, I can't. It gets to the loading screen, plays the music and scrolls through the fun facts at the bottom. The loading bar fully loads and then it just sits there, cycling through the facts. Anyone?

depending on your system lowering your world and character detail to 50% has helped some people getting into sol.

My friend had this issue trying to get out of the tutorial, the tech support folks told her to load in safe mode.
To do that in the launcher go to options its one of the check boxes, she got right in after doing that.

I think this simply lowers world and world terrain detail down to 50% but I havent gotten an answer to what else it might do on top of that.

A related question: Does this issue appear when trying to get to other system / sectors as well?

If that is the case you may want to create a situation wherer your game crashes so you can make the launcher verify all your files.

Use a ram-data changer to find some sectors in the ram that are ROM, and try to change them... that usually creates a crash.

    Anazonda,
You don't need to do cause a crash to force a verify of the file system. From the luancher before hitting ingage go to options and check the force verify button, it will verify your files for you no crash needed.
