Ok, I made a mistake in not checking at STO first to see what was offered since I didn't know there were various 'C-Store specialty items' given out by each different merchants carrying STO game. I was just one of those that saw this game and went, 'oh, cool.. startrek online.. hmm.. lets check it out'. Well, I later came to realize from others that they got different editions and from other merchants like from Amazon purchase of STO u get a Borg Bridge Officer. I haven't use my Red Matter Capacitor since oh... when I was Lt. Commander was last time.
Is there anyway I can buy another STO game and somehow incorporate that different/new edition with those different 'free' specialty item like a Borg bridge officer over to my existing STO account that's already been established? Can such a transfer be possible?
You can by adding the retail key from a different copy of the game to your account, it'll stack in with any other retail key, say the Collectors Edition and the Digital Deluxe for example.
Certain items however were pre-order only and the Borg BO falls into that section of things. There's no way to obtain it currently short of having an unused pre-order code.

You mean there's nothing online now that has that edition with the Borg BO's still in it? I thought I saw some US editions having that Borg BO, so u saying that's not current and up to date?

You can buy any edition of the game from Amazon.com (Using the Amazon store, not affiliate) and get the Borg Bridge Officer.. make sure that when you purchase, the store says Amazon Store or you may not get the Borg BO.
Once you get the game, just apply the code to your account and you should see the Borg BO in your special Unlocks the nexty time you log in.
Just remember, the Borg BO gives the efficiency trait, so any power levels above 50 gets diminishing returns up to 75 power.. after 75 power, you get no returns.
Everyone has a chance to get a Borg BO with the new Khitomer Mission, when it goes live. But of course you can't get that til RA5.
So you probablly can still get one off Amazon or off Ebay.
Agreed about the Borg BO on the Khittomer Accord STF.. however Cryptif has stated it will not be the same as the Amazon BO.. so either it will be a Tac or Sci and most probably will not have the Efficient trait.

Where did you get that information? I thought all liberated Borg get that trait.
Wasn't aware of any US editions having the Borg BO still included - I got my Borg from Amazon.co.uk and that was a pre-order, I've not seen it available since anywhere.
Wasn't aware of the Borg with KA either - I've not done The Cure yet but getting another Borg as an officer reward sounds like fun, so that'll give a bit of motivation to get working on it.

Thanks, Pes. That's very helpful stuffs. Now it's my part to see if it's worth a gamble to buy from amazon the remaining collector editions with hopefully a borg officer still in it. A whole 'nother STO game for just 1 BO, huh... hmm.... hmm... Anyone got a coin?

the BO is available on both the Regular Edition and the Collector's Edition from Amazon.com
Since it seems that you already have the Collector's Edition (Red matter capacitor).. just buy the regular edition and save some $.
I asked around yesterday and got a clear response this morning.
Yes, the Borg Bridge Officer should still be available for copies of the game purchased from Amazon. It should be available for both the regular and the Collector's Edition.

We have the bonuses tied to the keys given to the retailers themselves. So *theoretically* no matter when you buy the game from a retailer you will get the bonus item.
I would say that if you buy the game from amazon and DON'T get the borg BO that you should submit a ticket so we can get it sorted.
This also applies to any other Retailer promotion items..
Say you buy from Gamestop.. the TOS Connie is tied to their keys instead of the Borg BO that Amazon has.

I am guessing. Reason:
Gozer stated that it is different than the Amazon.com BO.
As for Traits.. there isn't a confirmation one way or the other. we just know it isn't an Eng officer and we know it is male with a robotic arm.
I would doubt that Cryptif would put the Efficient trait on the Borg BO.. that would make it extremely similar to the Amazon BO.
Though if it does turn out to have the Efficient Trait.. Cool.. but the game mechanics of Diminishing Returns kicks in, especially at RA level where Efficient Traits have hardly any effect. (DDE Joined Trill takes top spot at RA 5 with a guaranteed +3.3 to all systems above the Efficient cap).
Anyhow, there is a Pic for the Borg BO from Khitomer Accord.
You can still get some on ebay (Not many left.). I just bought one that came with code only and one month
of STO for $50.00. When the game was released people were selling the game with Borg BO for $260.00-$300.00.. I know crazy right! Hope this helps.

However the Borg Bo is a special Perk unlock when completing the Khitomer Accord a certain way.. You can only obtain it 1 time per character.
