We were having a discussion at about 8pm PST in Zone chat, the majority of the Klingons sitting on Gandala Space Station chatting about the long wait times on a saturday night.. and I just had a rather awesome idea.
Make a new set of hostile engagements/takeovers that mix and match the teams. The first 10 people that get in line are randomized teams, mixing Starfleet and Klingons alike. So maybe it'd be 4 KE and 1 SF vs 3 KE and 2 SF. It would also help make things a little more interesting, since a majority of the maps at lower levels are simply the Klingons decloaking and ripping apart Starfleet. Now Starfleet, too, can work together with some ships that can decloak when least expected.
I dunno. I think it sounds cool. And I don't like waiting in line forever to PvP.
Comments
Capture and Hold map differences: People would see that lone federation ship sitting there on a point, and have to ask themselves.. is this going to be a quick and easy single ship battle? Or as soon as I engage them am I going to be smacked by 3 cloaked Klingons?
Engagement differences: The SF ships would end up being the targets that need protection. Following your SF "point" ship into combat would always have the question of "Is the rest of their team all here, or are they unorganized?"
Both situations, you don't know what you're getting into until you're in it. Adds a little spice to space combat.
Whoops, just missed a queue at 8:59 PST. My bad. Got type happy. Anyway.
It's more of a War Games than a House Battle. Like a Joint Exercise. How this happens in a time of war.. well.. ... if you work with your enemy, you learn to better defeat your enemy. Or something.
Done.
