oh, and a pvp spec would be sick =D

some things you need to consider -

u are an escort, expect to get targeted first
u are an escort, expect to be crowd controlled (viral martix, jam targeting sensors, scramble sensors,)
your job is primary job is damage.
use a weapon that fits your play style, being an escort i assume you are running dual cannons or dual heavies

based upon the above assumptions some Boff powers to consider and what they do

attack pattern omega I or III - damage boost and removes makes u immune to holds (vmatrix)
cannon rapid fire III - increases cannon damage
High yield torp (if you run torps) - increases torp damage
emer power to shields (shiled buff)
engineer team - repairs hull and gives hull damage resist
sci team - clears a sci debuff on target, recharges shields, adds shield damage resist
jam target sensors - target cant see/target you for a short time
attack pattern beta - stacking resistance debuff on target per each of your hits
tactical teal - clears tactical debuffs and restores crew, give crew resist

for skills, spec into the weapons that you use and then take all the escort captain skills, and the ship attack skills that came out with season 1. i then suggest getting engine and Aux efficiency as they will boost your effective Aux and engine power settings. then fill out as you see fit.

    for consloes -

2 EPS eng consoles are a must with cannons now drawing power like they do.
for tactical stack the consoles that boost your weapon type (phaser, plasma, etc, etc) they give over all better than the regular cannon or beam consoles.
for your sci console i recommend at least one biofunction monitor. it will go a long way to saving your crew full of redshirts that have already filled out their suicide notes and wills.

    for weapons -
    front -
3 dual cannons or dual heavies and one torp (choose yo fav)
    rear -
1 turret, one beam and a torp or 2 turrets and a beam
***note, if you use turrets your weapon power draw will be more. the beam torp will still apply decent damage after your attack run is basically over and you are setting up for another run.

most importantly - HAVE FUN and stay true to your style. experiment
