I dunno what you guys did in this patch, but pvp is even more ****ed now somehow. Seems like shields got even weaker or something even with max points in the new defense stats.

Are there even any plans to fix this? It seems like pvp is cryptic's last priority.

    It has never been. PvP is there only to shut up klingons, and keep them playing.

    also nerfing viral or whatever the **** won't fix it. I have no idea why anyone thinks counterable VM is the problem.

    Maybe you want to look at UNCOUNTERABLE 45s+ SNBs. I dunno, that seems a bit worse. Or maybe how cannons with rapid fire completely shred anyone now. You actually managed to make that WORSE, and just gave cannons to more fed ships.

    Let me give you some help: balance is meaningless if the game is unplayably stupid.

    Yeah, it is pretty messed up right now. Can't wait for season 2. I think they will just go the full 9 and change the ship graphics to X-wings and Tie Fighters.

    Combat is ST is supposed to be slow and tactical. Instead they have managed to create a dogfight

    This game is about 10 years old and No ST game has matched Klingon Academy for it's pace and system.

    They should play videos of this game on never ending loop until they get it right.

    They really need to get something worked out so they can put SFCIII on steam...

    They had a good idea for that "online" takeover game.

    Hard to get started if you have a weak ship though. Sometimes you run into that guy with the dreadnought..and all you could do was try to run

    Well they are working on making shields more viable by putting more power to them. Who knows when that will happen.


    As for the shields, they seem about Normal, but Hull however seems to be paper thin. There has been many times I got destroyed in PvP and PvE when using Evasive Manuvers (even with plenty of hull hps). Heck, one time I even had 60% shields (on all sides) and I got 1 shotted by a torpedo.

    Talk about a lucky shot! :rolleyes:

    No plans whatsoever. The developers are spending most of their time right now working on Pakleds as a playable race to get that in under deadline. So they have absolutely no time for tweaking powers. And you can verify all of this by checking out the tribble forums where there are no dev posts, no discussion about powers or power tweaks and absolutely no interaction with the dev team and the players.
