Bsod

So, I *CANNOT* confirm that this issue is related to STO, but the evidence, limited as it is, points to it.

After installing STO (Via download from the STO site), and patching through the client, I was able to log in and play without issue. After a day, while I was playing STO, I got a BSOD (Blue screen of Death, for those not familiar with the term). I rebooted, and relaunched STO. After another 5-10 minutes, I BSOD'd again. I've been playing for another day or two since then with no issues, so I'm not even sure the issue is still persistent.

The only evidence that I have that points to this being a result of STO is that I've been using this machine since September, with no issues. It also won't, hopefully, be a problem in a couple days when my upgrade gets here. However, once I installed STO and played, I BSOD'd twice in less than a day, just before the latest patch. Thoughts?

System:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHZ, OC'd to 3.2 ghz (Also occured the second time without OC... I'm using the ASUS Push-button Overclock for stability and machine safety, rather than BIOS or other forms of OC)
4 GB DDR2-800
Integrated Intel G41 256 MB Video Chipset, using 1 GB system memory for video through software
250 GB Western Digital HDD
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Has anyone had similar issues, with or without similar system specs?

I too have been getting random BSOD,sometimes its during a heavy pvp session, sometimes its when im floating free space.Saying that, ive been getting pretty much ALL the crashes that people have been posting lately. Its a pity because i don't mind the game at all.

Also for some reason STO is the only online game that i play that FUBAR's my modem,ie:disconnects me from the net.which becomes an annoyance when you are in the middle of a pvp or borg space.

Yesterday,(my last BSOD episode) it tried to do a light error dump to cryptic (which failed),the error console took it apon itself to upload a full error dump to cryptic @ 8.8 gig upload which i promptly put the kybosh on.

I have since discontinued my subscription because all these random and unexplained crashes has ( for the moment) killed the game for me.

I hope to poke my head back in,in about a month or so to see if the problems have somewhat cleared up.

This isnt a rage quit post, its just a post from a bloke that doesn't have the time to fight with a broken program.
