I'm a bit annoyed now, but I'll try to make this as clear as i can.
I can no longer play the game because I constantly get error messages about corrupt .pigg files. They are usually about face, costume or costume textures. The messages are about being unable to load certain textures.
I have let the loader verify all files, which takes forever. Then i make sure that I'm not running anything necessary via task manager (winXP pro). And i have plenty of space on all my drives.
So then i can get into the game for a few minutes, until I get various looping or stuttering audio and the game crashes with an error message about being unable to read and /or uncompress some kind of texture file.
This is just ****ing me off.
Sorry.
Anyway.
I have a few questions:
What is meant by "mirroring" certain files? I know what I'm doing when I mirror a file from one computer to another, I'm either writing a file to a different system or doing a CRC. What does your loader do when it mirrors a file? Is it overwriting a file or just checking it? Because i have very little space on my C: drive.
Although I freed up half a gig to see if this would change the problems. And it did. For a minute or two.
What do you write to the C: drive? Can I change the destination?
Please give me a clue. I'd just like to play the game like I did a few months ago.
Right now it's totally unplayable.
