I have seen this error when people enter the wrong type of code key in the system.
Like when they use a gametime card code as the retail key code or try to use the retail key code as a gametime card code.
I am getting the same response when I try to activate my TOS code as well. I have been trying all day. Is it our codes then, and not the subscription server?
The TOS code I believe you enter in the retail key section like the retail key(product key). and not in the subscription area.
I'm assuming you are new to the game so you are setting up to play and have
1. Retail key for the game
2. a TOS key for the TOS bonus
I believe you need to do this
1. Enter retail key
2. select a subscription plan
3. enter payment method (credit card , game car or paypal)
this sets up the account and activate the game.
then you go back to the enter key link and enter the TOS key.(add new product)
if this is not correct then you will need to send billing a ticket on your problem and have them look at the key and account.
From the main page, there is an option to redeem key. That is where I entered the code. Which is what the magazine instructions said. It takes me to the agree to terms page, and then says The Subscription service is temporarily down, please try again at a later time.
ok then unless coderanger comes on and is able to look at your accounts to see what the problem is, then I think you will have to go the ticket route. my tos uniform was part of my retail key so I did not need to enter a separate key for it.
Having the same thing happen to me when I try to activate the 5 day trial.
Edit: 15 minutes prior to my first attempt, the buddy of mine that gave me the key, got his activated. How unlucky is that? Within 15 minutes of him and me, it goes down.
I've tried restarting my Firefox, Using IE, and repairing my internet. still getting

Ya did the same and no response yet. but you know they are looking at the forums because other threads are getting Dev responses. bet they dont care because we with the free trials arnt payin them yet. or wont if this keeps up.
Thanks for the heads up Shinagami-sama! I gave it another try and it worked fine! I even checked in game first to make sure.... Will have to close my ticket out now.

clicked agree to terms of service.... then...

I had the wrath of kahn uniform code, never gave me this trouble, and I believe I did the same thing
