The change to FBP isnt really what concerns me... its the change to SNB.

Have you read the notes he put for that chestnut...?

lol... fights are too quick as it s and RSP is working as it should... if anything the other shield heal skills/resist buffs should be brought up to it's level...

I have 4 almost 5 RA5's.... and I mainly PVP with my Fed+Kling Tac and Fed engi..... I don't use my sci anymore because its easymode.
But every pvp fight and even every borg encounter i engage in I end up asking myself.... "Have the devs actually watched a single ship conflict from the series/movies?"....

It is an honest question and obviously the fights may be drawn out a little to add fluff..or omnidirectional perception... but come on..

I know it isn't going to be easy to balance it... but at the current state of battles... it feels too arcade-ish, and in need of a complete re-construction of certain mechanics..

Even with power levels... example on my engi in his Assault cruiser.. ... with full power settings to shields I notice no difference in the engagement as if I went full to weapons. I think the idea of weapons draining power is flawed because everyone will put everything they can to weapons and just divy up the rest as specced.... otherwise the gain is ill noticeable and the damage loss is an extreme hit.

    So I take it from your post you also ignored the post about changes how the power system works in the way of shield absorption rate.
    Shields
    Shield level currently determines the shield regeneration rate. We are adding an additional benefit in the form of shield damage resistance! The level of your shield power will determine how much damage is directly absorbed by the shield, so running at max shield level will definitely help your shields stay up against an onslaught. In general, this gives the 'tank' a true option to start a fight with max shield level and absorb some of the damage with their hardened shields.

    Note that bleedthrough damage does not change with the power level (i.e. an 100 point hit would send 10 to the hull and the shield would apply its damage resistance to the 90 going to the shield).

    What I get from that is when you put up your shield power level, your shields won't instantly dissolve anymore making RSP a situational power instead of a necessary one. Right now survival pretty much relies on RSP and it shouldn't have to and there should be a counter to it.

    Also these things are in test so they may need a little tweaking, your feedback might best be posted in the Tribble feedback area and not here.

    I did not ignore it, I simply missed it. Thank you for bringing that to my attention and it certainly is the step I was looking for. I apologize if my post came off a bit irrational.
