not sure why i am having so much trouble with this. But it is driving me nuts. when i log on and get to the character selection it tells me i need to update my ATI graphic drivers. It also says i should go to my laptop manufacturer site and down load the drivers there. I have a Dell Studio 1735 and it has a ATI mobility Raedon HD 3650. When i check the available drivers at Dell it shows i have there up to date driver for this, which was last updated in 2008. I have also went to ATI and attempted to down load and install the drivers there with no luck. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah i am partially TRIBBLE when it comes to this so be gentle :)

You'll need to use the "have disk" method of updating the display driver, using the newest one from ATI and not Dell.

Here is an example from Intel

You might find help on the AMD/ATI Notebook PCs forum

Download the 3000 series and up drivers from guru 3d. their beta drivers tend to just work better. BTW, check the fan speed with Catalyst drivers. they sometimes lock the fan to 30%. I used riva tuner to fix that by changing the fan speed to 100% on windows start-up.
