Feds are getting used to PvP

I think one of the main reasons Feds are initially so bad at PvP is that, yes its been said before, that we are geared for combat versus NPCs but, if you think about it, canonically, at least the cruisers anyway, are built to stand up to a reasonable fight by themselves (numerous TNG and TOS references) and so maybe the canon mindset reflects that...

On the whole ive seen way more Fed teams winning:eek: FvK space battles recently post-patch, klingons still win most of the time because they tend to be better coordinated, but we're getting there, and its definitely better balanced post patch.:)

I think most of it is due to the fact that Capture and Hold is either bugged or has been radically changed without telling the player base. I still win essentially every arena map I play, but feds are winning a lot more CaH than they were before.

All I can say is that oyu are winning against awful klingons. They're OP.

I cannot stand ppl that flaunt their pvp skills to others.
Some of you KDF players needs to understand that the Feds level by pvE, mostly. And we all know how tough PvE mobs are..

Of course that random klingon might be better at pvp compared to the vulcan, forced pvp to level creates
teamwork and tactic skills. It also makes me..err some more jaded from queue waits. We've all seem four bops decloak at once to pwn that lone ship. Like throwing a kitten into a shark tank.

I don't know if they're flaunting... I mean, if you threw a kitten in to a shark tank, would expect the sharks to go easy? No, and you shouldn't expect Klingons to go easy on Feds just because they level up against NPCs.

Anyways, as a ground PvPer, I can say that there are still some Feds that are good, and some that still need to work on it, but there does appear to be a general trend of getting betterness.

I played my Fed through all the NPC fighting and came over to Klingon full time and didn't have any trouble adapting to PvP. Yes, all I ever do in these mmo's is PvP.

Fighting the NPC really doesn't effect a good pvp player and or regardless to what game they are playing PvP is PvP. Perhaps not everyone knows how to PvP. It just so happens there are a lot more Feds playing than Klingon's playing. The people playing Klingon are all about PvP so they know how to adapt their prior skills to any other game such as Star Trek Online. Fed's that do not know how to PvP well will learn. PvP takes a lot of practice and you have to read about techniques and adapt your skills as a player to learn how to play PvP.

PvP is always going to be different than fighting an NPC. NPC's are programed to play one way. Player v Player you have two brains on each side making decisions that an NPC doesn't have the luxury of making.

    Practice makes perfect.
