This is just the most basic of info for now. I will add DETAILS to this post asap.

Ideally, you want to kill your opponent/opponents as fast as possible. In Star Trek Online, the fast way to kill someone is to get a successful EXPOSE attack, then an EXPLOIT attack. In my experience, the Science Officer is best suited for this task, simply because with a certain kit, at only Lt Commander, I have 4 skills that may expose you, plus my expose weapon. That being said, Expose/Exploit should be attempted by all classes, if by no other way than by weapon.

Under the best circumstances, I see you. I have my EXPOSE weapon equipped. I shoot you, it EXPOSES you (orange target symbol flashes on you), I switch my weapon to the EXPLOIT weapon. I shoot you. You freeze for a fraction of a second, then disappear. If you are on vent with me, you hear me say "Bye Bye."

Which weapons to use? I am going to say that this is a matter of opinion, but I prefer the "X" Assault Blast Weapon (I have to verify) for my Expose, and an "X" Sniper Rifle for Exploit. If given preference, I prefer Poloron for both, but I will use ANY (Phaser, Disrupter, etc) if I can't get Poloron. Both of these weapons have a 66% chance (I am certain of this) of a knockdown, and an "X" chance of knock back (I have to verify this). Knockdown does just that, knock back (I may be using incorrect terminology) knocks you back X feet, depending on the weapon. These features are EXCEPTIONALLY USEFUL IN GROUND PVP, and I highly recommend that if you are going to PvP, no matter what class you are, you get one type of each of these weapons.

Science - At Lt Commander, as I stated, you have four skills that will possibly expose your enemy, thud giving you a high chance of one shot killing him. Again, I will edit this post for the specific skills, but I know one is Statis Field. I will add the rest, plus the kit ASAP. I play my Science Officer as a Spear Head for the group.

Engineer - An Engineer should not be looking for high DPS. He should be looking to heal the group. In Ground PvP, Science officers really don't do this. IMHO, ALL Engineer Officers in Ground PvP should use the Fab Kit, and ALWAYS place a Shield Generator, Health Healing Generator (will edit for the exact name), and a Phaser Turret down. A good team will not leave the radius of these generators in the heat of battle, except when Pning a single player. A good Engineer will ALWAYS put these items down. Engineers should not be in the front of the group, spear heading the attack, UNLESS no enemies are present, in which case they should be placing these generators down BEFORE the enemy comes. If the group is moving, the Engineer should stay behind the rest of the group, and drop these items while the others engage the enemies.

Tactical - INMO, Is the "Grunt" of Ground PvP. Should be engaging the enemy, and keeping them off the others. Should be near the generators. Has good but not awesome ground PvP potential, but is none the less just as important as the other classes. More info to come.

Ok, it is now coming up on 5:30 am EST, and I haven't slept yet. So, I am going to try to sleep now. Again, I will edit this post, and add more specific details. In closing, Ground PvP, IMHO, is one of the best parts of the game. It is the most challenging and fun part of the game. Hope this helps.

you dont need any expose weapons or skills as it stands right now: you can have some root/holds which makes it easer to close in on the enemy but thats it. when you are in melee range just spam rifle butt as it will expose your enemy faster than anything else plus you dont even need to change your gun in the midst of a battle.
equip an exploit gun and rifle butt in close combat (or use a bathlet, also very effective), done!
