Fed pvp and Klingon cloaks counter move

I'll say it right out, I am a Klingon pvp player. I however see the federation at a bit of a disadvantage since most klingons do have cloak technology we pretty much control the battle. If the feds don't stick together in their ball they 99% of the time will loose. While in capture and hold this becomes difficult since you're also trying to hold all bases while staying in ball form. The other problem is giving feds an ability to counter the cloak while staying true to the startrek universe.

heres my idea at the cost of a console slot for power, feds could have the ability to 'emergency warp' 20 km and instantly be out of battle. it should have a cooldown. And it shouldn't work if the engine systems are down or power levels are below a certain point. Or the power levels could reference how far they warp out of combat. Still giving Klingons the ability to chase.

Just think it would be nice to play without this ball formation they seem to be stuck in.

    it's a good idea, but I don't know if it'd get rid of the Fedball. but it would give the Feds something to "balance" our cloak

    If the imbalance is in the realm of combat being too easy to break due to cloaking, then perhaps that is what should be addressed, rather than adding another feature.

    If countering the cloak is an issue, we have several examples from both Star Trek and real world anti-submarine procedures to draw from.

    Let us look at those first.
