    Well after 2 months I found that besides exploration missions there is 2 raids to do. At least in WoW there are all the dungeons you can do as well as any raids you can get yourself into.

    But here? .......(Crickets)..........

    Will come back in a couple months and see how things are going. But for now, there is nothing really to do besides pointless grind.

    Have fun.

    You do understand the is a slight (understatement) difference in how long WoW has been going compared to STO, right? If you are not, let me explain it simply to you...a good 5 years difference right now, so please don't compare the two. Its not 'At least in WoW there are such and such. There is a huge gap between the two.

    By all means come back in a few months, because over time (as it has been over the last 6 months) STO is shaping up nicely, and when it gets to the point in time where WoW is now, i believe it will be something very special indeed.

    For me, i'm enjoying STO immensely. I don't get to come on all the time, with weekends being best right now and a few hours during the week for dailys and such. Uni is a busy time right now but thats fine. If i wasn't doing any else but playing STO 24/7, perhaps i would find issues, but because this is not the case, i look forward to my time online as opposed to being disgruntled about it.

    There ya go spell checked that for ya.
    Space out your time as best you can, if you play 24hrs a day for more than a few days I hear you die.

    I'm also pretty sure the comparison wasn't about How Long each game has been in existence, but of the quality of the current state of the completely different games.

    I am happy to see so much improvement going on in STO, now if they'd just get on that ATI Card issue..... it's been only a year right......

    Is anyone else finding the game boring yet

    I have another character but I find that once I have got the space pvp daily (I don't particularly want to do it but some idiot dev decided to make the pvp stuff from marks better than the exploration stuff and I don't want to be disadvantaged in hard fleet actions etc) over with I've lost all enthusiasm to play, it's so boring and repetitive I don't see what people see in it... the same with the exploration really, even when borg appear they are usually done wrong taking people hostage etc acting like any other character, or the cool-lookingness of the borg infected planets ruined by overuse (like on maps where there is supposedly ancient alien artifact radiation harming colonists, yet they are on a planet that has even the ground assimilated you'd think that would be the least of problems..) ..there's just no depth to the story part of the game at all it's just tacked onto the killing and "loot" part of the game which gets old fast like city of heroes... it's not like the exploration videos on http://startrekonline.com/videos advertised it at all

    I played headstart, set up a fleet and got robbed, re-financed the fleet and had other members recruit straight out of it.
    I got to admiral in a few weeks, saw the lack of end game content, so managed to get a charge back on my lifetime (was less than a month from getting it) think I played maybe 2 or 3 months (free time from buying the game etc.) then decided it needed alittle more time.

    I followed STO for years before release, even before STO was its official name, there was talk about ships being crewed by other real players, engineers in engineering, science in astrometrics, medical in medical, helmsman on the bridge, security etc. etc. etc. with the captains issuing the orders.

    I have to agree with some points of your post, and reading thro some of the replies I think others do too, for example...

    I honestly go back and forth.

    While alittle let down that the game didn't end up what I had been waiting years for, I do still enjoy it and after taking a long break and returning I'm over the moon with the work thats been done with it, I think Cryptic should be congratulated for the new content.

    But, when you take posts like these into consideration...
    I don't think I like "MMO" ... that label seems to be just used as an excuse for making a poor quality game just because it's multiplayer, they say "that's just how it is" rather than trying to do anything original...

    ...
    Sure it could be better but all that stuff will come later since Cryptic is actually listening to constructive feedback.

    On 1 hand, yes its nice Cryptic listen to some feedback AND seem to act upon it, it's nice we have this new content, but it still doesn't take away from the fact game companies shouldn't be allowed to release games with so many bugs or such a low qualtiy.

    I have read thro alot of the replies and I have to agree with the feeling of some, more variety is needed when it comes to aspects of the game, missions for example, space missions are normally, (for fed) kill/fix/scan 5 fleets/waves/things. I don't think it makes alot of difference whether its this story line or that story line, the basics of what you are doing is repetitive. Can't this be seen, and therefore felt as just grinding the same mission over and over again, regardless of level or rank?

    To the OP

    Someone else suggested that they subscribe to more than 1 MMO to add variety that they just are'nt getting from just 1 MMO, I have to second this, so heres a few suggestions.

    1,
    Stay in STO, join our fleet, it's BOUND to make it more fun lol

    2,
    For a very complex space MMO, I play eve, it has a legit way of subscribing which doesnt cost you real money (just you need a well developed character to do this) trading monthly subscription tokens in game for in game money. You can also log in set a skill to train log out and the next day it'll be trained (if it takes a day to train, some take minutes, some take months, depending on your character build)

    3,
    For a very fast PVP FPS, I luv Global Agenda, it's a free to play MMO, but if you do subscribe you get 2xloot/money/xp. This is pure PVP though with a few raids thrown in, be a tank/medic/scout/engineer, engineers are cool they can build turrets in pvp (better than an aimbot i say) scouts can stealth and sniper, medics heal the tanks.

    ~~~~~~~
    We have a corporation running in eve and an agency in GA, so pm me if you check them out, I luv these 2 games as I can log in do what I want (get my fix) and log out.
    I've decided to go for the lifetime with STO again, I'm happy enough with changes Ive seen that this game has a future, of course I would still luv to have my own personal tweaks carried out...lol
