Ive only just started playing PvP more now ive got to RA5.
I was playing FvF and was doing, what i thought, not to bad getting 200k HP's. Getting into the top 2 more than not.
This evening though, i joined a team and went up against.... Well i dont know what?! What ever they were they were seriously tough and hard hitting.
1stly i went up against another Escort, who took my shields down in about a second while my weapons never even dented his shields.
2ndly i was pumelling a science vessel which had the most incredible shields! He was being hit by at least 3 other cruisers along with my excort and his shields just stayed up or got stronger.
Lastly, when they had finished kicking my but all over the screen i noticed the top scorer on their team had 34 kills, died once and had... Now get this.... Over 1,000,000 HP's :eek::eek: IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? Thats the highest ive seen to date. These guys were taking out cruisers in under 3 seconds, how?
Anyways, is this the normal, if so i really need to sort my ship build????

1mil damage, yes possible in a salvage map (kvf) i have done just under 1.3 mil myself (i fly a bop, which as less dps than either a raptor or escort)), tho everytime i have top'd 1mil i normally get more kills, somewhere in the region of 48/49 ships destroyed. if there has been a lot of healing then less kills is possible but then if there is a lot of healing not sure why you are dying so fast tbh. I have seen one escort top 900k in a fvk salvage tho he did die as few times as i decided he needed to spend more time waiting to spawn as he was kickin TRIBBLE on the trash klingons.
It's mainly because 60% ( that's being kind ) of the Fed PvP 'ers don't know what the F they are doing , and aren't geared proper. When Klingons said or got scores like this, it was "You guys are sooooo OP " .

So now I get to say it for FvF , l2p.
LOL Vuk be nice on the Fedrat newbs its not their fault
I am not going to be nice. Most fed players do not know how to PvP. In arenas I can't really tell how good I am, usually when the first battle starts I do well but once I die and I get back to the scene I die some more because either a) klinks keep moving away while they munch on my team, or b)leave my team mate alone and gang TRIBBLE while my team runs licking their wounds.
In Capture and hold the fed players most suffer from ADD because they do not seem to know the concept of CAPTURE and HOLD. Everytime a BoP zooms by they are like that dog that likes chasing cars and 10 seconds later they are dead because they get suckered into a hive of cloaked BoPs. You the 1st time I understand but 5 times in one match just shows the Tards are the race of most fed players. After capturing fed players try and do their best kirk imitation in groups of 2 and end being shot to **** leaving some us out numbered to defend key capture points.
Fed Players a word of advice, YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE THAT YOU THINK ARE AWESOME IN PvP THEY WILL MOST LIKELY KEEP YOU ALIVE A LOT LONGER THEN YOUR KAMIKAZE TACTICS.

The best is when they run with 25% of the hull left. So now instead of it being a fair fight or outnumbering the opposition they run . This shifts the firepower advantage to the other team . The moron then comes back and faces odds that are stacked against , because the loss of his firepower disadvantaged his teammates and allowed the sides to be skewed. I always love when i see that plan go into effect.
Also you can tell the squishest member of any fight , he's the one hanging back and sniping . That's so he can run once the attention turns to him. Another great player.
In all fairness their are some great Fed teams out there that have it down pat , and know exactly what they are doing . I've seen that 1 million damage mark on one fed team , and they were good. It consisted of 2 sci , 2eng , 1 tac . They were all built to support the Tac and each other . The Tac was the main damage dealer ( of course ) , they ran buffs for him and healed each other superbly. The Tac didn't die once as I recall.
Pluss 1 million damage is small nowerdays, ive been close tot he 2 million mark in most of my PvP's nowerdays... only breached it a few times thats always nice

I try to do my best in Capture and hold missions. But I have to agree with this. Most of the time, at the start of the match, the group I'm in will split up and we'll all hit two to three points at once with at least two to a group or more. Only problem is that we've split up! And then once we get to whatever point we're at amd it's captured, we leave! I'll capture a point and then realize that the other two guys that helped are now gone, and I'll see them fighting off in the distance. And now I'm faced with a cruel choice. I can either leave the point and try to help them, or stay and just wait to have the 4 opposing team members come and kill me, gank style.
Most of the time, I'll stay put, trying to hold the point as long as I possibly can, hoping for some type of reinforcements, that usually never come, and then we lose the point anyway.

Welcome to ability based mechanics.
Now immagine if everyone actually knew how to maximize their abilities and everyone did 1 million damage.
Wouldn't that be Boring PvP...everyone dying in 3 secs...that is the real issue here.
Captain Data is absolutely 100% right. Federation players need to learn how to play as a team. The Klingons have mastered the ability to work as a team. They will have a team of 5 ships or 5 people with different classes that balances each other out. The feds need to learn this. Everytime I go into a PvP the first thing I type in is "All Fed players, we have to stay together". But they are too busy splitting up and going their separate ways to notice it.
Now as for Career Officer Miogaruna, we really have to meet and chat. I am always willing to learn more things about the fine arts of playing PvP and it seems like you would be a great teacher.
Khan: "Kirk, you're still alive old friend" Kirk: "Still ... Old ... Friend"
Nothing spectacular. I did hit close to 1,5mil dmg in the morning, and im using 2 normal cannons on my sci/escort...so im sure a full forward speced escort would hit 2,5 mil dmg in that 45 minute match.
OP, you need to study the science and engineering BOff skills much much more.=/
Federation has good and horrible PvPers.
Klingons have good PvPers.
If a team has even ONE bad PvPer, its over for the whole team. (MAJOR Klingon advantage).
Ah cool so if i am a horrible fed pvper all i have to do is reroll Klingon and I will be a good pvper , excellent to know . I can improve my pvp skills just by rolling a klingon toon . Hurrah and i thought i was doomed .
The more you PvP the better you get at it. That said however, I believe that people who do FvF mainly then jump to FvK and get their asses handed to them think that there is something wrong with PvP in general. Do FvK and see what's being used against you and develop tactics and set BO skills to combat those effects is the simple solution.
Also keep in mind that Klingons were PvP'ing since T1 so they have a lot more time under their belt that most Fed players.
Oh my what fun, to the person who said if everyone did 1 mil dmage th game would be short, well, as a engi/cruiser healer build i have done over 1mil healing aswell in an arena match which was 1st to 15 kills, and thats just what hull healing i do let alone what my extend shields 1 and 3 are doing.
As this game progresses and the gear and skill goes up and the builds and skills (both Real life playing skills and in game skills) get better then the numbers will rise.
An don't use HP to mean damage or healing please, HP is and always will be hit points, simple as that, generify the language to allow conversations to flow easier and allow everyone to be on the same page with what you are talking about, when i first saw this thread i though you meant healing points as 1mil hitpoints is impossible , but since you meant damage, i can't even connect the 2

LOL 45 min match, i am surprised you are not all dying from old age
Nothing much to it really, my highest was 2.3 million.
Nothing like having you AND Faithborn on your team to make you feel like a noob lol. You two should just start throwing my escort at the other guys for all the help I feel like I do compared to those damage outputs I'm the LeMay on that list by the way.

1 mill damage is easily done in many maps. I did this often in salvage even before season one.
