When you have a turret on auto and a Klingon flies by in clock the turret will fire on the cloaked Klingon and not de-cloak you but it will knock you out of full impulse for a few seconds. Yes, I fly right by feds sometimes 1km away from them and the turret set to Auto will knock me out of Full Impulse....

The turret will only fire if the enemy did detect you...so...where exactly is the bug ? :o

Yep, you were detected.. The only perk cloak has for feds.. lucky they didn't have a torpedo ready.. no shield for you.

The only thing that bothers me about that is the way it can drop you from impulse but it doesn't break the cloak. I was trying out my Klingon character yesterday and I just slipped away while the Battle Cloak. All manner of weapons were still tracking and hit me but I made it. That doesn't feel right.

deactivate auto fire and activate it when in battle again?

Or look through the Options, I am quite sure there is a way to disable autofire before you gave the command.

When I was playing my fed sci guy.. A nicely timed sensor scan allowed me to see klinks pretty far away. You can almost hear them catching thier breath.

I know running with high aux makes detection easier. I don't really know if running with higher aux on the klink side helps counter detection.

all wrong, there is a pre order item that sits in the tactical consol that is an autofire plasma point defence turret. it is great for taking care of those pesky plasma torps, however it also detects cloaked ships and fires on them whether or not the ship has been detected. if loaded on a sci ship, that would be the time to pop scan sensors.

If you fly that close to Feds, you're just asking for trouble. Its not a bug, its a reminder that cloak is not perfect and you need to actually think about how close you fly to the Feds.

If it is not a bug? Great. It is just odd that I am detected and fired upon by a turret but don't de-cloak from it. That is all I was wondering.

You can also be 9.5Km away and it will do the same thing. Flying close to a small fed ship is great practice when it comes to de-cloaking a head of time and then ramming it while in full impulse.

Boom is all I see behind me.

This works the other way around on Fed ships that are cloaked as well. I rarely have my turret on auto but if I is because of a miss-click it will fire on those sci ships and I can then track it down. That is why I was wondering about a bug because I don't have the detect ability on my Klingon ship it is will do this anytime any cloaked fed ship is in range.

I thought a Sci Fed ship got cloak, obviously i am mistaken and if so I don't see moving forward on my Fed ships anymore. Pointless with Klingon Cloaking to take advantage of.

Anyway the point of the matter is when I am 9.5km away from a Fed ship or 1m away the auto turret fires on me when I am cloaked. That is all I am saying if that is how it is suppose to work great.

What you see "or don't see" is Jam Sensors, could be MES (Mask Energy Signature) though that is rare for people to use.

You can counter being Jam'd by doing a Science Team , or just hold your shields and add some peanut butter.
