Just a question, why does this deserve to be stickied when so many and I do mean many, other threads that raise legitimate concerns never get a sticky or even a dev post?

Great survey. Very well thought out questions and thought provoking.....too bad I had to slam SOE like it was cool....:D

At any rate, just out of curiousity Doc, what is the overall goal of this research you are doing?

Lol. If you complete the survey, they'll send you a free, shiny hat of finest tinfoil.

Of course they would do that. As recent experiments have shown, tinfoil hats can actually amplify certain radiowave frequencies.

Think about that. The government wants us to believe there are Aliens!

Filled out your survey; looks relevant and unbiased, something very refreshing from survey administrators. Looking forward to the interview.

Good job on the survey, I filled it out and thought the questions were well phrased. I do wish that the survey was given by a sociologist or social anthropologist though since I think they desperately need one of those on staff.

All of my answers were IMDB memorable quotes. I think my response will be thrown out.

Wow. I feel drained now. That was a very nice and professional survey. The good kinds make you think, ya know?

Your name made me chuckle, btw. Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloom Beam is a favorite movie of mine. I really hope you don't have a hand growing out the back of your head...

This thread should be locked before the jokes start flying.
And made Sticky, if it's legit.

(PS: ...but just thinking: isn't it a bit premature to survey a 2mnths old online game thats community hasn't crystallized yet?)

Think what the date is..... even IF it is stickied it doesnt matter. I hightly doubt things that companies do on april fools day :p
Honestly though, if this guy is legit and really wants to help and gauge player feelings, you should do it IN GAME not on the forums.

This is the kind of person I complained about when taling about the lack of community. Trolling is a way of life to some....

    Survey completed.

Wow. the amount of negative response in this thread from you people is astounding. The guy is doing research and part of that research is the gathering of information. So asking questions to the players of this game is his way of gathering information for his study. Just reading some of the responses like "do your own homework" and "I'm not participating with your government psy-ops theory TRIBBLE" really says a lot about how uneducated some people really are. Have you guys ever even written a REAL research paper before? based on some of these replies, I'd think you haven't.

I've filled out and submitted my response to the survey.

I'd agree with the in game part, but that sounds like something he'll do in the later phases of this research. right now the best way to get the most data is through the survey and best place to put that is on forums since most people dislike in game chat spam. Just saying
