I had completely forgotten about my pre order enterprise. Then I found it and obtained it. The weapons on it do as much Damage as my Commander Mk VI weapons! Is it meant to scale like this or is it already like this no matter what your rank?
Quick, stupid question, but do they scale with you, or do you always have to get a new ship to unload the weapons?
They scale with you, and I've already checked how they are at admiral and Mk X beams are better. Its one of those gaps i was talking about, i think if they ever open up more levels TOS phasers will be optimal at higher levels. I cant tell you when they would be better but ill do some observation on other characters.

Get a TOS Connie, pull the phasers off of it, dismiss it, get another TOS Connie on C-Store, pull the phasers off of it, dismiss it, ect, until you have enough phasers for your higher level ships. Forward and Rear phasers are not interchangable since the forward ones have a two beam graphic and the rear ones only a single beam graphic.

That would be nice if the TOS Constitution class ship was available for a low, low price in the C-Store and if they were *at least* as good as Mk X green Phasers.
Not really. They scale with YOUR level, so at Admiral-5 they are level 45s...so equivalent to a Mk IX. Most admirals prefer Mk X weapons for obvious reasons, but those who like to RP can use the scaling ones without taking too big a performance hit.

Bottom line - there is a tradeoff.
Could still be a way to "farm gold". Tedious, boring, but hey, someone has to do it and annoy us in game chat to be banned by the GMs, right?

You can't farm them because they bind on pickup and vendors won't buy them. That's why I still have mine despite not knowing the "scaling" part for a long time...

Many thanks for clearing that up b(:D)d

The color is a nice dark blue and is much thinner on the beam than a normal phaser beam.
