I'm all for a TOS bridge for the C store. I would buy that immediately :)

I recently gave my Captain and senior staff a complete TOS makeover. It would be awesome to visit the classic bridge in my TOS Constitution.

Where do i send my money????

I have been lobbying for a TOS Bridge and TOS kit (hand phasers, communicator emote and Tricorder w/sound FX) for months!

This game should have just been set in TOS time frame to begin with, but I digress.

Happy I have my TOS Conny and TOS uniforms and will for sure buy anything TOS related, Devs just need to make them. Money is here waiting on your guys!

My favorite mission in STO was the one where you go back in time via the Guardian and fight along side the Enterprise. As well as fighting the old school TOS looking Klingons. So more TOS stuff would be cool.

I'm very happy to hear this news. :) Having grown up on (the reruns of) TOS, I loved everything about it: the bridge, the SFX, the phasers, the communicators, the Tricorders...again, everything. :D

So you'll definitely get my full support if you decide to include a "TOS Pack" in the C-Store. :)

I'd pay a few bucks worth of CRYPTIC points to get to visualize my (toon) self on what was "The Bridge" I grew up with. It would be great to invite friends over too.

Would be even better if you could buy the whole set, Constitutuion Class ship, TOS Uniforms, and the Bridge together. Type 2 Phasers even, and emotes with communicators & sounds.

I know some people have the Connie Class and TOS Uniforms already, and to keep them happy, they could get the bridge for free. With the "right to change the game" clause that would be legal, and most wouldn't object to getting something else free to make up for being less exclusive.

If you think this is a good idea, give me a quick thumbs up smilie response people.

Oh heck yeah I would love it! But, like others have said. It must be the proper scale. It's what worked and it should be the same. For the current bridges, now I know why my escort only has 50 crew members, due the huge bridge. Just a bit outrageous.

Until bridges actually have a functionality , I could care less.

I'm not opposed to it, just no need in my opinion if it does nothing.

I'd pay for a TOS Bridge in the C-Store. I'd also probably spring for a Star Trek:II Bridge.

I still say the best idea is to put in a time portal and run one sector block as a differnt time. Imagine a seperate Sirius Sector Block where everything is set TOS. TOS ships. TOS Klingons. TOS style missions. TOS Sol System. They could just about copy the current sirus sector block and then reskin it. It would certainly fit in with all the time travel in the show. Think about walking around a smaller earth spacedock with TOS walls and NPCs in TOS outfits. Rock on.

    Thank,
    Duncan

Sounds like a good idea for a future expansion pack. I would buy it.

BTW, if they set this up as a C-Store package, I wouldn't mind if they followed the precedent of the Star Cruiser and Light Cruiser packages and had, say, a couple of versions with minor physical differences. Looking at the designs, it looks like the motion picture bridges and the TOS bridges would make sense as separate models due to different chairs, different consoles, etc.

    http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/gallery/bridges1.htm

    TOS Bridges:

    - one "pure" TOS bridge (red railing, classic TOS design)

    - one Pike-inspired retexture (plainer colors, no steps or gaps in railing to the left and right of the Captain's chair)

    - Maybe an original design that is a modernized 2409 update with the new LCARS and blue-heavy design.

Although, hey, you're going for the nostalgia market here and the TMP bridge is too different, configuration-wise to work.

So... Going for the nostalgia factor, why not:

    - TAS Bridge (Note the vents beneath the consoles are solid panels. Not the subtle color differences and the display screens which feature color flares)

    http://therinofandor.blogspot.com/2010/01/chekovs-tas-cameo.html

    - Mego-inspired Bridge (You'll almost have to mute the color scheme here but the basic color scheme is a bit more vibrant and "different". This one has some bizarre staying power as it's being reissued even now)

I'd pay for it. Hell, my CDR is putting Mk V and VI weapons and consoles into my Constitution class just so I can keep using it. Honestly, it's one of the better ships in the game. I'd like a bridge to match.

look, don't go giving them ideas on having to pay for any new bridges, cuz not all of us have, or have access to, credit cards and it'll again be a case of the haves and have nots repeating itself all over again re; the "lifer" perks.

Have a bank account? Have Pay Pal Account? if not make a Pay-Pal Account, transfer money from Bank Account to Pay-Pal, then buy C-Points with Pay-Pal.

    No Credit Card needed :)

Oh and I would also like added: TOS insignia designer! The arrow head insignia we currently have for our TOS uniforms represents the Enterprise only. Either give us five or six (or more!) different insignia's to choose from, or an actual insignia designer!

I presume an "Insignia pack" would be the easiest thing to give us and could easily sell it in the C-Store.

Actually, I disagree with this.. given the time line we are in.. the Federation adopted the Insignia of the Enterprise as the official Starfleet emblem. It was in commeration of the USS Enterprise completing its historic 5 year mission.. being the first if not only ship of 12 that was sent out to make it home.

Given we are a few hundred years since then, the Enterprise Emblem is the Starfleet Insignia.. so no other ship Emblems are needed.

Now if STO ws set in the TOS time period specifically, the I would say bring them on. Unfortunately, we are a few hundred years past that.. as such, breaks canon.

This is something I have wanted for some time now. I want my hand phaser too!
One more thing I would like is for the people that got their Connie, would be a ship skin to make their T5 cruiser look like the TOS Connie with the bridge.

More CANON stuff, less make believe TRIBBLE. I have absolutely no interest in buying all these weird original design stuff, I only will purchase Canon items.

This would be the first thing I actually spent all those Cryptic points I have laying around on. As someone else said earlier, do us the favor of using the correct scale. I still can't get used to the stadium sized interiors, I would even spend cryptic points to get scaled down interiors!

I think a Enterprise Bridge Pack would be good.

Round up the TOS Bridge, TOS Movie Bridges, Ent B and C bridges and top it off with the S1 TNG Bridge and the Post S3 TNG bridge.

Instant buy for many many people.

Okay, an idea just popped into my head regarding the "Bridge=Superdome Arena" sizes while reading the new responses (I'd like to thank DarkJedi for his nice response that was good to hear).

You can do this 2 ways, although, I think my second choice works best:

    1) Make the TOS bridge accurate-to-scale. Basically, in the description in the C-Store, note that this Bridge will be small. You can't invite 100 of your closest friends on it comfortably. Sell as-is with this caveat/simple warning. Let's face it : It is a nice option to invite others, including the other faction, onto your bridge (for legit RP/OOC reasons) but not EVERY player is doing this. To state a generous, yet unsupported statistic, I estimate maybe 25% or less of the player base has done this. (And yes, I could be surprised by actual numbers.)

    2) Just give us TWO versions of all bridges; the "Big Bridge" and the "Small ones". They would look the same, but one would be smaller than the other. (Cryptic is about giving customers options, remember?). If company is coming over, say you want to host your tax accounting convention on an STO bridge, you can switch to a larger size.

    a) The easy way to switch would be through the Starship "Tailor". Go to Starbase, insert it, done. Should be easier to code (?)

    b) The harder way to code, but easier for players, would be just have an option switch put into the game. It could be under "Options" or a sub-menu under the "Go to Your Bridge" selection ("Large" or "Small").

Basically, I understand why all the common/mission areas are wide/big, but we are talking about basically "personal housing" here; an area most players will enjoy by themselves or small groups.
