I made this post in beta, but it doesn't look like it was carried over into the new boards. As you can see from the comparison shots to the TNG Romulans, it works out pretty darn close. I was never happy with the Starfleet uniform, but one of the new off-duty outfits has a definite Romulan air to it. Just a starting point here until we can get our own faction!

Hi folks -

I thought you might find this useful. I logged all of the settings I used to make a proposed "Romulan Expatriate" in the character creator. I included a screenshot of the character in the game and the settings I used to make that character. I've got them in PDF and DOCX format on my website. Even if you aren't making a Romulan, you may find the listing of character creator options useful for logging your own racial settings. Feel free to distribute or host as you like. The links are

Enjoy,

Very nice effort. What I like is that you did not simply make a Vulcan and called him a "Romulan" because that forehead detail is a big difference ever since TNG.

A nice little fact from that TV show screenshot of a Romulan is that the actor portraying him is also the guy who did the ever popular Gul Dukat in DS9.

I prefer the look of Romulans in the TOS/TMP and TNG/VOY/DS9 shows than the ones in the new Star Trek movie. Tattooed Romulans just look... wrong.

Very impressive. I very much like it.

I am planning on creating a Fed Romulan once I hit RA5. This is most hopeful.

Thanks for posting - job well done!

The facial tattoos were a traditional display of mourning in romulan culture, they would normally only be temporary if the romulan were mourning the death of a friend/loved one.

Nero and his crew chose to make theirs permanent to mourn for the loss of Romulus, or so the backstory goes.

Are any of your formats compatible with the game ? My understanding is the player game profiles/models could be transfered. Yours is very good and exporting it would be nice, I would be interested.

There's no way that I know of to transfer alien settings; I'd be interested in learning that there's a way and would be glad to do it.

That said, if you just go down the entries in the template I posted in order, it sets up pretty quickly. Recreating my character after release took less than a minute. All the sliders go between 0.0 and 5.0, so you can click on the place you want. I referenced the colors as x,y coordinates starting from the lower left corner.
