Why is it that every weekend the system has some sort of maintenance, then the game doesn't perform correctly the rest of the day? My problem - if STO has all these patches that need to be added (daily) - why not do it during the normal work week when MOST people (like myself) are at work and not playing this game? Instead of TRIBBLE with it on Saturdays and Sundays! We are - In fact - paying to play this. There may be a good answer, I'm just curious.
I kinda have to agree here. I know people get tired of the comparisons, but EVE at least did a daily reboot at 6am CDT everyday. And if STO needs to roll something out, why not start it on Monday during the common, assumed work times of 8am - 5pm to limit the number of customers affected (or whatever other window you notice the fewest amount of people on). Then, if there are problems, people will lose maybe a nights worth of gaming (4 - 6hrs vs a whole Saturday or Sunday, 8+ hours).
Just a suggestion, though. I'm not going to follow it up with cursing or threats of closing my account. LOL
You have a point there, 99% of my play time is on the weekends, that was tolerable until all of these problems started after the season 1 patch. Now the game is completely unplayable... Week OR Weekend. I can live with this maintenance if it ultimately fixes these problems before i loose all faith in this game......:(
