The gentleman at the start of this thread has a right to voice his concerns. After all, we are paying for this service. At the very least we should get credit for thees outages.
Before this last patch, I had not had any issues playing the game. Now I'm like him, can't get on to play.
If these outages are going to happen now and then, they should have a practice area that is loaded on the PC so that players can at least shoot some Klingons, Borgs, Romulans until the the game can connect with the outside World.
Please can someone from Cryptic please respond to the hundreds of forum posts about the current issues we gamers are facing. I am sure you are all busy trying to rectify the situation but it is still your reponsibility to communicate to the players about the current status of the game. Many people are unable to retrieve their characters, others are unable to leave or enter a system or station map. Currently the state of the game could be described as unplayable. The only messages you have communicated thus far relate specifically to PvP which has been going on for most of the day if not longer. I understand that you took the game offline between 10 and 15.00 GMT today to resolve some of these issues but yet, despite your best efforts things have only got worse, Everyone has paid a not insignificant amount of money to play this game and as such we deserve better support than what you are currently offering.

I opened a ticket but I hope this is not permanent.
Actually, they have fixed the "retrieving characters" issue with the -39 level demotion issue and the "can't zone in to instances" issue.
A two-fer!
Im sure they were ignoring the other 100 threads on the same issue, but now that you have commanded it they will snap right to it.
Actually, it looks like all 3 are relevant, as I cannot retrieve my character list currently.
