So I hit RA5 an hour after the patch on the 25th. Respecced my skills, went thorugh all missions I hadnt done, hit up borg space yesterday, did the infected mission and had very split feelings over the whole encounter/state of the game.
The "leveling" has been sickly fun and different, I loved having my own crew with me, was fun to tailor your own team to fit your playstyle and be able to pick uniforms for them all etc. It felt more tactical than any game I've played (besides Brothers in Arms). I was hyped about getting to borg space but when it turns out there is no more away team things with my crew I got really bummed out. I did the few missions there were before picking up a group for infected. Infected in itself seemed fun, however, the space part was too long and very boring, the ground mission seemed fun, but since it was the first time it was kill, die, kill, die, kill, die etc. Sure we made it int he end, but it didnt feel like completing it anyways.
It now feels like this game really has no more to offer, pvp queues are long, I dont feel like doing war games, I want real battles. PvE is so very bad compared to other games, playing a medic is loads of fun, but in a group its just bad mechanic upon bad mechanic. Lack of a proper tanking class leads to even more annoying healing when everyone takes damage and you have 3 abilites to use for heals. The cameras for ground and space are clumpsy, not so much in space though.
Not only do I feel there is little to do, the time spent on the infected is just way to much compared to the things recieved.
All there is in this game now are 3 dailies, 1 for mark of exploration and the infected/cure, plus pvp queues. It took me less than 14 days to get RA5, now at RA5 there is also a big lack of options for kitting out the ship with what you like, no problem when it comes to the away team though. But what is the point in gearing the crew, you wont use them anytime soon for anything besides an exploration mission or two, in which case you might not even need to use the equipment.
Too bad this game isnt so attractive once you reach max rank as it was progressing to that rank. I guess its back to WoW again. I didnt expect to get bored of this game in 20 days.

daily missions are identical and if you miss one day you dont get to do 2 the next day plus theres a timer on the missions now
and why do i get skill points awarded for these missions ( that s what the onscreen message says after completion ) and i dont actually get them to use at admrial RA5
I really want more things that feel giving that has to do with my crew, thats the coolest thing in this game. But only having them for leveling is just TRIBBLE. Why were we able to personify them and costumize them in the first place, and even give them a name and uniform to our liking?
It took me roughly 3 years to get somewhat bored of WoW, played it from release to september the year wotlk was released, tried the buggy game WaR for a few months, then I was back in WoW. Same story with DaoC, and SWG was fun for atleast a year because there was so much free things to do here and there, Jump to Lightspace was a bit boring though... :P
But getting done with an MMO in 20-30 days is not a good sign, heck I had more playtime crammed out of fallout 3 which is a single player game. Though the feeling in that game was the same as the leveling in this i.e just brilliant. But a game such as FO3 is expected to have an ending... an mmo doesnt.
