because i just threw it in and canceled my sub. Sorry but when i realized my 5970 was pegged at 99% and 80c while i was stuck at retrieving character list, i decided i was through with this buggy buggy game for good.

Wish i could say ill remember the good times, but honestly there weren't enough to remember.

Have you grabbed the new ATI 10.3 drivers? They went up a couple of days ago.

I was kinda scared... my hard drive was just spinning away. That little arm thing in there was just working. Like it was reading and writing and stuff. Good think I used my "off" button too.

This is useful info, thank you for posting that. I did not know they came out with new drivers a few days ago. I'll install them and let ya'll know how it goes with my overheating =)

My card hits 90c to 98c
    it idles around 55c.

I would kill for it to be 55c on load.

hes talking about his CPU :P

what card are you using? my SLI 8800gt's used to get up to 100 DegC while running, was scary. replaced with a gtx260+ and it idles at 43 DegC with running temp for ST:O at 57 DegC highest so far

my cpu (e8600 intel) currently idles @ 50 DegC, can get to 65 under load, but not much higher.

    all air cooled

Hah.. This post made me check my temps...

Edit: I think I need to let my laptop cool off for a bit.. Running at 77C average while surfing.. I don't want to imagine what it'll spike to when I boot up STO again.. Possibly because it is decently warm in this room.. and the air cooling isn't... cooling as well.

At least the max operating temp of my CPU is 100C
