Loss of Particle Effects and Textures on Fed beaming

As above.

Whenever I, and my away team beam-out or in, the texture for my character's hair becomes void and black, and I lose some of the transporter particles to the same bug. This has occured since the Season One patch went live.

Not a major issue, but it looks awful, I'll snap a screenshot next time I beam and update with it.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Thanks

Any updated on this issue? The effects prior to the Season One patch were fine, but since then, all kinds of odd texture issues anytime we beam up or down.

Yeah... i noticed this error too. It happen with numerous costume sets and ranks.
I don't remember well, but I think in Tribble was looking without problems.

I'll be honest, I think this may be a warning sign, I don't want to be a scare-monger, but check your GPU temp, I had a GFX card error after the Sunday patch, and my card is now shot - to reiterate, I am not stating I believe STO is responsible, but it would be best to check your card temp as has been stated by support it is a high-end game, and does push the envelope somewhat.

I have a ATI 4870, I keep a close eye on my temps now as I did catch it at over 90o C once which was cooking the rest of my computer. But this oddity has only started since Season One.

Ah! I bugged that just yesterday.

While we're talking transporters, I'd also add that the combadge emote happens simultaneously to the transporter effect, which makes no sense. The transporter effect should not occur until the combadge emote is complete.

This definitely got broken in the update. Looks like TRIBBLE now.

They added a more complex dematerialization effect instead of just the fade away. I suspect that's this change that skewed of a few things.

Personally, I prefered the fade away effect more.

I been reporting this since the patch was on tribble. Needless to say there were no comments from the GMs at all.

Please tell me this is not something that had to be deliberately broken in order to appease the prudes who are easily whipped into an indignant frenzy at the brief sight of pixelated panties.

I ve looked for this some time now. I am glad I am not alone with this problems.

In my opinion the qualitiy of some graphics and shading has decreased since the Major Update... its a shame though. the game was looking decent before the 1.0 patch.

Same thing happening here, GTX 260 (197.45).
I also noticed that my character no longer does any emote while beaming out, just stands there still and looking uncomfortable...

Scratch me in as another "victim".

Only I get a black texture error. I chose the little ponytail male char and on beaming the wifs of hair hanging in his face turn into a black cap. :(

very same here..AND around the exact same time this started my liberated borg engineer stopped taping his wrist when beaming up. All my other BO's tap their chest but my liberated borg has the hair and rank pip solid black texture and no longer taps his wrist, his arms just go down to his sides and stands there as he beams up...i know he used to tap his wrist, hasn't in a long long time.
