Perpetual may have failed universally, but at least they knew how to scale interiors correctly.
Don't give me that 3D camera mmo garbage, it's lazy and you know it.

I imagine that scaling interiors correctly is much easier when simply producing a 2D image for marketing instead of an actual 3D environment that players are expected to navigate, interact in, and pan their cameras around in.
In some areas WoW pulls it off. A lot of their furniture is a lot larger than the avatars that are presumably using it, and their huge, vaulted ceilings are less of an issue because they aren't expected to be realistic. Blizzard was also clever enough to give themselves some breathing room by adopting a very stylized direction for their art to begin with, something STO could not get away with doing.

.... and .... you're still looking at a big druid butt or through an armpit. I know this for a fact - been playing WoW since before it's release. I'd rather be at a distance than seeing *****-crack up close and personal.

First sentence - no. They managed some nice concept art, they didn't even get to an alpha stage, so we've no idea what their finished product would have looked like.
Second sentence - hell, yeah. I think it's undignified that my Captain has to jog to her bridge chair (but I've since found a working walk toggle) - but it's necessary, or her crew's shift would end by the time she got there.

oh well, maybe some day i can navigate me ship interior.
If they ever going to put it in the game, it will probably be 5x times as big though.

Agreed, WoW pulls it off.
And go pay Blizzard for lessons/training/assistance on designing ground scale content.
And go pay CCP for lessons/training/assistance on designing space scale content.
I realize STO is not WoW or Eve... but it's attempting to slide into the market both of those games represent.
And if they don't pull their collective heads out of their wormholes, and start making a decent looking game.
My video card can run WoW and Eve with the highest settings, with no problems whatsoever.
This game looks 1/2 as good, and requires 2x as much resources.
