Are there no curly haired people in the 2400s?

Now I've been quietly waiting for this cause I figured it was obvious, but with the addition of 2 new long hairstyles and no go... I feel like I have to bring this up.

Are there no curly and wavey haired people in 2409?

Seriously! What? Every girl and every alien has access to a straightener now? And they USE it? Come on! Major hole in the create a character options!

Also -- Freckles. Not spots. FRECKLES. People have them!

And umm .... also ... can I request Romulan Ridges? The NPCs use like 3 different random ridges from the alien character creator and none of them look canon.

Those genetic features were found to be associated with the release of various environment degrading substances and thus were engineer out of the species that possessed those genes. The result was an increased heath of planetary environments throughout the Federation. Subsequently, through the course of the genetic restructuring of the species that carried those particular genetic features the purchase of harsher dermal and hair care products simultaneously reduced. There is a suspicion that the two events correlate but science has yet to determine how.

And Klingons use a hot lava rinse to straighten theirs.

(And I don't mean some namby-pamby soap called "Lava", either.)

    :)

I noticed this also when I was playing around with the character builder:

    1) No Kirk, Wrath-of-Khan-era curls
    2) No Picard "hair" (the total bald variant is not Picard hair)
    3) No Troi hairdo
    4) No Worf "medieval cut" hairdo

I don't really miss these, it's just that I didn't see them either.

During the third world war, a general named Eric Cartman, had a little too much success with his plans.

    Goddamn you Cartman...
