..or: swatting lowbies...

1st.: Aquire a Tricobalt-Mobile-Device-Launcher and equip it to your ship
2nd.: Access a lowlevel Deepspaceencounter in Sirius-Sector
3rd.: Sneak up to a Klingon-battlegroup with some battleships and their escorts.
4th.: fire one TMD at one of the ships, best in midst of them.
5th.: WATCH. THE. FIREWORKS.

I like to fullimpulse in such groups, let the TMD go away and watching what happens in its explosionradius :D what a pity this doesnt work in highlevel-encounters...

Sounds like great fun! That is, if you're an egotistical arrogant jerk who gets his jollies off ruining every one else's fun. Just sayin, is all.

Oh, and if that comment makes you mad...now you know how those noobs felt. Stop picking on them, you were a noob once to.

Make me mad...no not really. I honestly went there to help them. I figured the wargames are bugged, the FvK matches take a while, so heck, I'll go help some noobs out with their defense patrol missions. Most of the time I just sat there and took damage for them, or took down a shield for them.

I don't quite know why you think that's picking on them. The only thing I felt was wrong about it was that they didnt get all the drops they would have.

If I'm an arrogant egotistical jerk for rallying to the aid of a Fed in need then so be it.

You guys really believe I went into a deepspace encounter to irritate people? My comment was meant to be humorous, but apparently that has been lost in translation. If the people whom I were teamed with had a grievance they did not complain to me at all. There was a T4 guy there too in an Envoy class, he received no complaints either.

I can't really say anything to convince you guys if you're this cynical about players in the game. All I can tell you is that my comment was a jest in nature and that I went in there to try and interact with some players and have fun.

Accident happen, however keep a few things in mind. Some times humor dosent translate as well as you might think, especially in a thread made to grief lowbies.

Also if you have seen the CE fleet action recently people are a bit touchy about people griefing in those.

If you didnt mean to do it, i retract my statements :)

Honestly when I read it I was said to myself "I remember shooting the Negh'var warships for hours before they'd blow up, now I can do it in seconds!"

I will admit I did zoom off and go a tad crazy in the intermission when all the players were either waiting for the instance to restart or moving to a different one. It's just fun when you can do something easily after it used to torment you to an extent.

If any of those players I was with was griefing me in their mind, I apologize despite their absence from this thread. Thanks for the understanding.

    Here is another good Idea:

This game is struggling to attract and keep players. Griefing like what you propose as fun is a majot cause of cancelled accounts in ALL MMOS. You appear to be a lifer so here is my VERY FUN suggestion: CRYPTIC BAN YOU FOR GRIEFING AND PROMOTEING GRIEFING AS A FUN PASS-TIME.

You could use all that new free time you have to grow up

where is "griefing" when i am merely alone(!) in an instance?

maybe there is a misunderstanding in "swatting lowbies" in which i dont mean lowlevel players, but lowlevel mobs.

every time i am in an lowlevel-de and there are other players, then in most cases they start following me around, cause where an admiral is, there is safety and easy going for the "noobs". the same thing as i did when i was a "noob". and i keep an eye on them, buffing and healing an taking a shot or two on my shields. thats griefing? if one dont want to fly with me, than well, he can change instance or just TELL me about it. than i may leave. but nobody ever told me to do so when i am around. those tour of duty missions are a pain in the TRIBBLE sometimes, especially when you are alone and get on the wrong side of the encounter and its nobody there to help you. i see it as beeing part of ONE starfleet, maybe a kind of roleplaying comming to backup a fellowcaptain in distress....
