Flying around on my RA5 in Sol area

So, i was farting around in Sol regions, winding down from a fun day of playing..

I entered a random encounter, someone engaged some klinks so i hopped in.

Was it really the intention to ramp the mobs up to my level and have them lay waste to the lower level people. If I would of known the harm I would of caused, I wouldn't of even went in.

I can understand the anti-farm thing. But I wrecked the instance for the lower players over what, some battery packs.

I thought that didn't happen anymore. Was that since the patch?

From what I read you should have been put into a lvl specific instance.

That happened to me too a few times. Since then I"ve steered clear of entering lower level random encounters. The higher level ones don't seem to have this problem, I'm an RA5 and frequently do Captain level encounters (around DS9) for loot to sell and the mobs there don't seem to level to me at all.

The mobs in the Fleet Action at Starbase 24 don't seem to level up, so I find that to be a good place to harmlessly test out my builds and help out lower level folks.

Well I heard that they were going to remove that "feature" - and make it so Admirals entered a separate instance with their own level NPCs. But I have learned to regard all such claims with a degree of skepticism. To put it bluntly the person, or persons, in charge of that part of the game has consistently done more to mess things up than to "fix" anything.

But to those lazy Admirals who insist on entering DSEs in Sirius Sector... How can you tell how well you're doing against -45 NPCs? What you should do is go to Starbase 24 (now). There you will face enemies in your level range. And if you get yourself blown up you will know bad you are... :p
