Space combat like OB ?

Not sure if its me but the game difficulty feels like OB , and I personally love it , I got blown up yesterday twice! much more entertaining and much more fun, don't listen to care Bear crowd like you did before release, its all about risk and reward , nice change (rollback.)

    I died a lot yesterday too playing SB24 as RA5. I'm not sure if it's an increase in difficulty or my respeccing that broke something with my build.

    Ground combat, on my CMD 2 in afierra nebula (at work, so mispelled the nebula). I got a based mission to remove the remens from it, the last boss captain I could NOT kill. He kept spawning all these ghosts that just drains life and tried 5 times over a hour and finally gave up! I couldnt believe it! Kind of upset me, but least it was a challenge.

    Space combat, Honestly I havent noticed much of a difference, cept when I was tractor beamed and viral matrix at the same time, almost killed me, down to ~30% hull, but I was able to pull it off. Kind of suprised me by that tactic.

    Like OB? It has been as it was in all but a day an a half of OB. Now, If it were like CB, That would be awesome!

    i think the update made me feel weaker, i feel like my shields go down ALOT faster.
    one thing i really dislike about the new update though is how the cannons all fire at once when space baring now, i miss the hold way where they fired 1 at a time when i pushed the space bar =[, i'd rather fire 1 round per second over 3 seconds as opose to 3 rounds in 1 second then reloading for 2 seconds Dx

    I have personally only done pvp since the patch and I am not sure if it was the new skill tree or the fact I changed around my BO skills or maybe a combination of both. All i know is that it made me feel stronger in those pvp matches to the point where my "Tank" build of a ship was no longer just taking up some space. I am sure there will need to be more tweaking but I am overall satisfied with the changes to the skill tree.

    For the Remans who use psionic powers and/or spawn purple ghost mobs of instant death, you have to rush in and engage the boss in melee to keep him interrupted. If you stay at range you will die.

    The weapons power drain seems to be why things are more challenging IMO

    Power drain change wasn't that hard to deal with, I was using two dual heavy cannons and two quantums fore, and two turrets and one quantum aft before. I swapped one cannon and one turret for beams, and didn't need to change much in the way of tactics (I'm a jouster and don't PvP, the new skills actually helped my playstyle a lot). I do need to retrain one of my CRF IIIs to a beam overload, but beyond that I don't see a lot of change.

    But then, I wasn't the audience being targetted by the change, either.
