Fleet Actions
1. Create special instances of them for fleets to enter into. This would also require that fleets be able to team up in som sort of raid.
2. Create special content for each class. This can be done by requiring engineers to repair certain things, and not allowing the security or science officers to do so. They can be extremely complicated engineering devices that no one else should have the ability to repair. Can also make it so that when someone falls in battle, they MUST be revived by a science officer kitted with medical gear. Things like that to get people involved and feel they have an important roll in what they do.
PVP
1. Federation cruisers are in dire need of either stronger shielding or improved hull.
2. Exploration cruiser trun rate needs tweaking. It is supposed to be slow yes, but currently so slow, it has a major disadvantage, especially with weak shielding.
3. More maps. Even unrealistic, PVPers would love to have matches on Earth Spacedock, Risa's surface, Vulcan, etc.
Weapon Systems
1. Create more weapon types. For example, a large one shot phaser beam with a large amount of damage. These arrays were on the Galaxy class. Currently, we only have the option to fire a dozen or so small beams.
2. Either make the secondary effects of the weapons scale upwards, or make all weapons at he same cost lvl in the skill tree. I'd prefer they all cost the same and not scale, that way there will be diversity in the weapon systems used.
Ship Upgrade
1. Allow players to promote their ship to the next rank. So a T3 Cruiser can have the same number of bridge officer assignments as a T4 cruiser (So long as the player is leveled up to T4 and chose to transfer the ship over), but the ship will still have a T3 cruiser's hull rating.
2. See about the possibility of using different ship variants at different tiers. Centaur saucer with Sov engines for example. With each new tier's parts unlocked only as you level up. So, an Admiral in a miranda would have far more options than a Lieutenant in one.
Missions
1. Diplomacy. Bring in some riddles, some options on how to deal with things. Having the option to help side A or B, or to go in guns blazing, or to talk it out, etc would be GREAT. Rather than to simply have a one set scripted event. Since most missions DO NOT have voice overs, this shouldnt be too difficult to do. Think of how Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic... terrific missions there.
2. CHAT OPTIONS. Allow me to choose what I say to an NPC on a mission. Currently the options are just for topics, not options as in different outcomes. So, seeing a new species I can say "Greetings from the United Federatio of Planets" which would indicate a peaceful intention, OR... "Halt! Who goes there?" for a cautious approach, OR... "Time to die!" for the trigger happy folks.
3. Some sort of ranking system on our mission performance. More peaceful = more reward. Less peaceful = less reward. This will balance out though because the more peaceful person got less xp IN the mission but more later while the aggressive got lots IN but less after. Sort of 1+3 = 4 and 3+1 = 4. And a great time for the Admiral to say: "You did what to the village?!".
Traits
1. Just balance them out WAY better. Honestly. It is no contest right now... hmm, 0.1 o accuracy... OR 10% to most of the important ship skills... oh the options! /sarcasm
Species
1. Havent noticed, but I dont think we have the option to name our own alien species. This would be a wonderful addition. Absolutely no affect on gameplay, but so many would rain XOXO upon you for it.
Anyway, just some ideas to throw out. Feel free to add to any of these, or add your very own. Perhpas the Devs will find something they like!
