come on ladys...that cannot be true...
here are much roleplayers who are not lifers...so we cannot go there ?
and no chance to get this thing otherwise ?
lifers should get cool reward...bridges for example...but a whole station...thats frustrating
but with such things...you split the roleplay communitiy in 2 classes
lifers and not lifers...
we normal player payd also for this game...im here since openbeta...headstart...pay every month
im roleplayer for my life...waiting for cool new things...and then this disappointet thing...

(edit : remove some dramatic words , was written in first frustrated feelings..)
Comments
yes maybe...but..i have as ra5 not so much to do...im roleplayer and hoped for cool new areas...
If you are a roleplayer, you do have a lot of things to do. If you're a troll, not so much
Seriously, its not a big deal, its basically an area with nice graphics.
Oh and btw, those whom say WoW never did special areas for special persons do not recall those champion rooms that where only for those who had spent eternity getting to become warlords or whatever that was called, they opened up last year I believe but was in there for over a year before everyone could access it so yeah, WoW does have same things...not for sale like lifetimers here but there are special areas for special people...
The thought that they did it off the clock on their own time to say thanks means more than the zone itself.
Really though, it's a nice goodie, but nothing more. Might be nice for some RPing, but then again the Captain's Table ain't that special.
Or maybe it is, you'll never know
yes in roleplay i have much to do
but not so much cool locations for that...so i hoped for a new cool location but...ok..
dont get me wrong...lifers should get cool reward...but reward that could split the roleplay community is not so nice ...for my thoughts..:)
Seriously, whilst these perks were totally unexpected and a very nice gesture from Cryptic that they worked out of hours for, I do hope the other parts of the community will be appropriately rewarded over time (e.g. yearly subs, continuous monthly subs for 12 months etc.) - those people are supporting Cryptic too.
As for the station, it's nice, but you really aren't missing much. That is in fact rather the point.
I don't understand, the folks that are honestly upset. Why? Its kind of a return on investment as I see it to people that willingly put forward the initial funds.
if you saw it you'd say "ohh thats nice" but thats where it would end, I dont think you'd be "complaining"(i put that in quotes for want of a better word) anywhere NEAR as much if you could see it even once. The idea of missing out is all in the mind trust me, actually you have to give props to cryptic. They managed to give lifers something that was suiffcient enough to say "thank you" without changing any gameplay or giving lifers ANY advantage in the game at all.
I admit it's a shame i cant invite people there, but thats kinda the idea as was stated when cryptic first announced this. Dont take it as disrespect honestly. It's more about what lifers have done as opposed to what anyone else hasn't if that makes sense.
It's not so different from getting a yearly sub at your local gym or something, there areaa lways a few perks to sweeten the deal no?
I swear anyone who see's this as a community breaker is playing the drama a little, and i dont mean you by that it's just a general comment.
but on a serious note its just a few rooms where we can stand and chat thats its
o my opening post was written on very frustrated feeling...
im sorry for that drama...its too much i know...but i viewed this from roleplay sight...i mean... we waiting for some new cool locations / ship interiors
to play our part...so from this view (and for me ONLY from this view) it is a bit frustrated if there is a pretty new location some pople dont get in...
maybe crypt can build in that non lifers could be invitet from lifers to go there...dont know if this is a compromise...
oh lord hear this words...and fulfill the prophecy
Roll play that the lifers paid to gain access to a private club. Kinda like real life. Exclusive members only. Sounds like a great way to bring real life into the game.
P.S. You can still buy a lifetime sub. Come join the club

Yeah but wouldnt they be on a salary?
It's just a station with some nice graphics, it's not big, it doesn't have anything new or fancy, and how often do people pre-pay 2 years in advance, it's nice to think a company actually cares enough about those people that put there neck out.
I'm sure there is more role play to be found on the new neutral station in the neutral zone, since there will be many more players there and it's near the neutral zone, also it's larger and has more venders, and quite frankly just as cool.
You understand that The Blue Security Team will now have to take you away for re-education yes?
As to the people who have purchased lifetimes subs, the ones last night who were acting like they were some kind of better than everyone else gift to STO should really get out more and get some social skills. You did more damage to the game and the community, then any snafu Cryptic has done, including the so called salegate fiasco. Several of you made my ignore list, not by what you said to me, but what you were saying to the community at large.
To the community at large, all I can say, if you search diligently for things to take offense at you will find them. How can anyone who reads the forums forget the "dont get it" Quote. Took something totally out of context and blew it way out of porportion and found a way to be insulted by it. When just reading the whole story would tell you that was never an intent.
The forums for any game were created to increase community involvement, commaderie and a place to share game information. They were not created as a place to show off underdeveloped social skills. Would be nice, if everyone who posted in the future, actually considered what they wrote before posting it. It will never happen of course, some people thrive on creating dissent, all I can say is to do what I do, which is put them on ignore. some voices do not need to be heard if they can not speak without being civil to others.
you can go there: just go spend $300 and then redeem your code. Pay more, get more, noone is keeping it from you. I understand you feel like your monthly fee obligates you to get everything in the game at no additional cost, but thats not how Cryptic is doing things (as seen already by the C-store). Just view the new station and perks as expensive C-store purchases
Well now, that's a way of doing it i never considered. even makes sense if you can afford to do so, you dont have to go in and play account activation when you want to play again. Would not work for me, though. I usually continue to play a game until it no longer holds my interest, sometimes it is because it runs out of content(no content lack of community is a big turn off for me), or like wow where it just got too generic, it has even been just the community as whole. I do not think there has ever been a case, of after I have left a game I ever went back. If I have quit playing it means I was no longer enyjoying myself, no game patch is ever going to fix that. I have played games past where I enjoyed the content simply because of the friends i have made.
And fresh Bacon Pot Pie, not replicated!
