No border patrols? No interdiction patrols? No search and destroy patrols?
If they run wars like this in the 24th century then they need to go back in time and bring someone from the 21st century to show them how it is done.
This isn't a rant thread, don't get me wrong but there needs to be a little more (for lack of a better term) immersion. As it stands right now, you see a Klingon BOP you just wave at him and go on with what you were doing.
Really silly that Klingon contacts get so close to Earth. But then there should probably be at least a couple more sectors of space in between their boarders, as well.
And even more silly that the Klingons (and Federation) forgot about the big galactic war caused by the last batch of shapeshifters, the Dominion (who should still be out there in the Gamma Quadrant with a horde of Jem'Hadar
Ultimately it comes down to a larger issue... are the players going to be affecting the overall picture... or are we just along for the ride? I'll be surprised if these Fleet Actions don't look like the "Battlefields" on SWG. IOW, no effect at all. It would be nice for the Klingon players to actually be able to take over systems and what not. Give the Fleets things to do... concrete objectives to go for... with consequences affecting the entire game. But I expect not.
Well, dynamic PvP battlefields (where you can take and hold territory) was the lowest polling option, or near to, during the last poll for what players want. I suspect many PvPers would like to see that but there just aren't that many PvPers or at least ones that respond to polls.

I agree. hehe would add a bit to the aesthetics anyway to have some auto defense cannons placed around Earth Spacedock and other points of interest. AND I never took it as a rant. Your posts are always constructive whether you're being very critical or offering on your knees praise. :P

I agree. Its time to step up the war effort and wage one properly. This should include all the types of missions one would expect.
Escort the flleet
Search & Destroy
Escort the convoy
etc etc.
The old Wing Commander game is a nice source for such types of missions to draw inspiration from.
Honestly the klingons and federation arnt really at war, sooner or later there going to join forces again.
While these two were fun, I would like to see some more indepth war strategies put into play and the introduction of espionage (with playable archetypes)

This has already sort of happened in the Borg sector.
I think this is happening more out of a panic in response to the huge mistake of launching the game with almost zero Klingon content, that they have to "end" the war (sort of) to give them access to Federation content.
