So, I'm ok with the fact that you're staggering the release of these ships so that there's always new stuff being added to the c-store. However, I don't like the fact that the only one of these new variants we've seen yet is the Recon variant. I only have a certain amount of c-points and I won't be able to buy more anytime soon. I want to get one of the new ship variants, but since we've only seen one, I won't know which I want to buy until late May when the last ship is released. Please give us screenshots of all the variants in advance so that we can know which we want to buy most.
though I don't think that's going to make me any less angry at the blatant lying and letdown on that level. I can be sympathetic. I can be understanding. But I refuse to be taken for an idiot.
Well, I can understand them staggering the release. They had already said somewhere else a while back that they had to get CBS's approval for all the ships. They just posted today saying that this was one of the things slowing it up.

I think alot of people are just unhappy that Cryptic decided to spring this news on us at the 11th hour, when for a while they were directly associating "New Fed Ships" with March 25th.
I was so blown away when I first saw the new Imperial Class Assault Cruiser I just have to share some pictures of it. It should be available in the C-Store very soon.

Wow I ... I... really, not to take away from the people who design these at Cryptic, but ... I really dont like it that much. It just has too many extra parts and segments, not smooth and streamlined like a traditional Trek ship.

Although the nacelles are beautiful.
i am guessing thats because its an imperial variant

Very likely. Actually after giving it a few more glances I like it more than I did during my gut-reaction. Still looks a million times better than any Star Cruiser

More parts to mix and match are never bad -- assuming the C-store ships are, um, mix-and-matchable.
I like everything on it except for that one piece of metal sticking out from under the deflector dish. The "shoulders" on the saucer look sweet, the nacelles are sweet, and the hull looks pretty cool.

Those and the parts sticking up from the neck are the only 2 things I really do not like.

I'm in this camp I think. It's a blocky, angular mess. Sorry, but doesn't look Trek-like to me at all. Some people seem to like it. Then again, some people like the Envoy variant of the Galaxy and that thing is hideous, so...
Make more like the recon vessel variant someone posted, that looks a lot better.
If I'm not mistaken, those are all Perpetual designs that Cryptic used in the first gameplay demonstration. They had just acquired the license recently and I guess they hadn't had the time to make there own ships yet.
As for those, I don't recall ever seeing those screenshots. When were they released? One possibility is that it was a prototype for either the Majestic or Noble.

Thanks, that's one more down, 4 to go. I'd like to see all 6 of the new variants before I decide which to buy.
And I must say, that ship does look pretty cool.
I like it. It looks very good.
OMG that IS SICK! I almost wish I was in a galaxy now instead of my deiscovery! uber sick folks!

For some reason it looks like someone meshed together a sovergin and.... a BoP?

Agreed. Hopefully these parts are interchangeable with the standard parts. I'd definitely put those nacelles on my Sovereign.
They've already released a picture of the new recon variant. Let me see if I can dig it up for oyu.

That's the new recon variant
I love the nacelles and mission pod, but I'm not a huge fan of the pylons and saucer.
Very pretty.
But very large and clunky. Any new escorts coming out?

I think you'll find those are screenies from when Perpetual were running the show...

Ooh, nice.
The sticky out bits on the back of the saucer might take some getting used to but the overall configuration is awesome.
Thanks for the pix.
