FACT Cryptic does not care about Monthly subs!

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
I have never heard of a mmo that wants to separate its player like Cryptic does.
Cryptic does not care if you pay monthly!
All they want is people to pay the $300 lifetime subscription.

You know I have heard so much BS on these forums about Warcraft, but Blizzard would NEVER treat its players like this. Just like the respecs, we have NO ROOM to play around with if we wanted to try different things.

Now I see the screenshots of the Captains table… wow just f’n wow.

Lifetimers just from looking at all your pretty blue names on the forums, I can see now why Cryptic caters to only you guys because there isn’t very many monthly subs left. Have fun Lifetimers, remember when you ask where all the players are, now you know why.

See ya bye, no you can’t have my stuff.

EDIT:
I am a content w h o r e. I want to be able to see everything that is IN THE GAME. Canon or not. And a lot of you will NOT understand. (Mainly LTS people)

Not one MMO have I played where I was actually restricted to see something because I didn't want to shell out more money.

Blue names, Borg, extra slot. I don't give a **** about. Adding extra neat places to travel too. Ya I f'n care.
Espcially when that could have been content for US ALL!

You know, if you're THAT blown away by the Captain's Table, you could consider saving for and buying a lifetime sub like the rest of us did...

Relax, Cryptic has a history of looking at sub fees and giving perks. there were a ton of perks they handed out to players in CoH if they had subbed for over two years. I'm pretty sure we'll get something for subbing over a long period because we don't have the cash to buy a lifetime right now.

What? Oh, send a memo, I can't be bothered with non-lifer messengers.

Some of us are struggling university students who have to choose between food and text books, so it's not always as easy as "Just save up".

I ain't a lifer... but I still think Lifers should be given a few extra perks, and the introduction of a special in game spot seems like a pretty decent little perk for sure.

I live in a staunchly capitalist society (America... Earth's Ferrenginar) and feel that if someone is willing to pay substantially more for a game than I am, they should be given something in return.

OP needs to lay off the Mescaline, I think. We get a colored forum name, and a room. Are you really going to get worked up over a colored forum name and a room?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

    For your edification:

Fact - a piece of information presented as having objective reality

    See also:

Opinion - a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter

    Okay, seriously?

I am not a lifer (points to his name and sees it is not blue). As it stands I am a monthly subscriber. I probably will go either 6 months or yearly soon. Lifers have perks, yes. Because they paid $300.00 up front? Absolutely.

Its called being rewarded for their faith. It is no more unfair than facebook users getting free codes to beta while twitter or msn or whatever didn’t. To assume Cryptic cares any more for lifers or any less for the rest of us is merely rueful envy.

I am sorry to be blunt. But there you have it.
It turns out people who pay more, get more.
    Welcome to real life.

Fair enough, but a lot of games give lifetime sub members a bonus every once in a while. Again, it's a room, a title, and a blue forum name. Not exactly gamebreaking.

why would we waste 300 bucks on a shiny zone that prob has nothing to do? i could just stare at the screenshot and be happy without wasting my money... instead id buy a new video card or power supply....

Yeah they hate monthly subbers so bad that they aim to exclude the larger percentage of the player base....NOT...get a grip.

Look at all those blues lol

LOL what is the point of having that again?

    WHAT A JOKE!

And it's always the same tools posting. Ya this game could have been GREAT, if only it knew how to treat its customers.

Most of you don't even know what a real MMO is.

A real MMO does not nickel and dime you to death
A real MMO has content at endgame
A real MMO does not charge for respecs
A real MMO lets you play around with the skill system instead of punishing you for do it.
A real MMO is not a single player game
A real MMO is actually difficult

Well, if you can't validate spending 300 bucks for a lifetime sub, there's no real reason to complain that those of us with one got a title, a room and a blue forum name.

For me it was either buy a lifetime sub, or buy medication to silence the voices.
I believe I made the correct choice, and so do I.
