No More Gorn-Induced Explosive Diarrhea

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
Buried in the long list of today's patch notes I noticed the Gorn hold effects were removed.

For anyone who missed that part of the game (Gorn hold was frequently seen in The Ultimate Klingon line of episodic quests) when the Gorn would bite the player character, the character would hunch forward and brown liquid would spray from under her skirt and splatter all over the floor. Some people insisted the broken liquid was vomit. Either way, it was pretty gross.

I'm pleased with the update.

As a Gorn player I am sad that they removed this. Even more so that my character trait Bite does not seem to cause it. And yes, it was suppose to be vomit.

    Thanks,
    Duncan

I'll /sign this petition as I've already seen enough diarrhea of the mind being spewed across these forums... ;)

Oh wait...OH, you meant IN game, not in the forums? Sorry, my bad. :(

I've heard the patch also keeps the character still in the character creator so you can actually make tweeks to it without having it twitch all over the place like they have A.D.D.

They also removed the spasms from borg holds a long while back, slight pity on both accounts.

edit: spoke too soon, the spasm are back.

That's correct. I noticed that it holds still during the "head" portion of the character builder/tailor process while I was playing on tribble.

I'm so glad they removed it.

I have a very "suggestible" stomach. I can't even eat certain foods because of their odor.

Watching my character splatter the floor over and over was NOT fun. Trying to not look directly at my character, but still take advantage of the short pause between "episodes" was even less fun.

I feel bad for those who simply thought it was funny, because they're losing a source of humor. For people like me, though, it's a significant QOL improvement.

I hated the constant hold, but thought the puking was hilarious. I'm sad to see it gone.

And how could anyone have mistaken that for diarrhea? It was obviously vomit.

I admit...it was amusing....but...I am actually glad it's gone...It was only amusing for the first couple times I saw it.....

Since when do you vomit brown liquid from your "backside" in huge puddles directly beneath you?
