I'm getting from all the dev posts, comments from Craig and Jack that well Season 1 is going to have very little content in it.
I don't see where they are missing the picture with both Champions and Star Trek. They have two MASSIVE licenses that literally have waterfalls of sourcebooks and episodic content to derive from and other than a silly Q appearance or Champions supergroup showing.........
NOTHING
It's pretty, the games look good, the controls aren't horrid but you probably put a deathslip in the games without being able to have modders do UI addons, but you ignore the content that is already finished for you,
They still haven't hired one sourcebook Champions author or one episode/novel creator for Star Trek. The movies for Star Trek only became a reality through the Starfleet Compendium from the mid 70s.
I can't say I'm "hoping" they "get anything" going at this point.

I agree i have pretty much givin up all hope on this game of ever being anything other then what it is right now..
To many good MMO's out there or coming up too waste my money on a sub-par one at best

We should really not engage in this conversation until we've reached the six month point for that content. So consider this discussion time capsuled until then.

Between now and Season 2 (which is stated to by content heavy) I think I at least will be pretty busy.
Some of the stuff that caught my eye:
Total of 5 STF raids available (4 in the next month)
FvF PVP (big plus for me you also can complete your PVP daily using this system)
An Accolade system (think Achievement system for WoW)
Difficulty slider (new "heroic" loot)
Death Penalty (which should also affect loot gains)
Replayable missions with rewards appropriate for your rank (tons of content there.. plus add the Difficulty Slider option on top of that)
Escort System (not sure what it is.. but is on the calendar
All of this before the "content heavy" season 2 this summer. I'm good.

I did not see the difficulty slider and the death penalty included in today's patch. Did I miss it?

That's because all the stuff in Season One is probably stuff they were already working on before the game launched, but didn't have time to finish. I can't imagine that they could have pulled all this stuff out of nowhere within a month, otherwise.
Season 2 is probably the earliest they could release stuff that's actually coming from community feedback, and it's where many of the biggest demands are going to begin getting addressed (Klingon episodes, ect).
I guess instant gratification isn't here, but much of the content will be free, so I'm not stressed about it.
They explained that they had to fix alot of bugs and gameplay issues and exploits.
TRIBBLE them!
Another poor excuse from Cryptic.
They knew, when they made the content calender, that they would also have to fix bugs and other issues.
As a matter of fact, they will have to do this for the rest of the games life. Is that excuse still going to be acceptable come July?
The truth is they are a small dev team that is way over their heads with this breakneck content schedule. Either the stuff will be late, or it will be very poor quality.
Cryptic has become, in my eyes, the McDonald's of MMO's. Put out junk, and put it out fast!
I don't think you understand how development cycles work. You can either trust me that it is normal or not, but I am correct.
Creating and mainting an application isn't like building a house.
If programmers built house, all of civilization would crumble with the first wind.

Nah - just pointing out stuff that is coming before Season 2's "content heavy" update.
its quite the big undertaking, adding a DP. not that I care either way.

Ground combat controls are confusing, convoluted and inconsistent.
The rest is spot on though.
