I was reading through the full patch notes to see what was all coming out now that the patch is here and I had time to read it. Some of the changes caught my attention and I copy/pasted them in my notepad. Well, my notepad got rather large, so i am choosing only a few that I am mad about. I play Klink and am very mad with the changes being made to accomidate the Feds.
(Not a huge deal, but all Cruisers)?
-Increased the Turn Rate of all Federation true Cruisers (not starting light cruiser) by 1.-
(Why increase it, seeing how nearly every Klink uses them and all the smart escort Feds do too)?
-Increased the power Drain of Turrets, Single Cannons and Dual Cannons so they are more in line with Beam Arrays. Single Cannons and Dual Cannons now drain 10 (like Beam Arrays) and Turrets now drain 8 - Note Cannons and Turrets still only drain power for half the time as Beam Arrays (Heavy Cannons drain for 1/4 of the time as Beam Arrays).-
(This one is silly, but still mad about it. Time will tell how bad it is thought. For now I am taking a wait and see approach).
-Slightly Reduced the magnitude of EPS Flow Regulators. They are now more in line with other Console Mods - 4 Mark 10 will double your power transfer rate.-
(Just annoyed at this one, because I goto Warzones alot to scan borg nodes for the feds to lazy to do it themselves).
-If you are cloaked or stealthed, interacting with a clicky object will now cancel your stealth/cloak.-
(The Fed escort I can live with, but the Lt Cruiser... no that has to get changed to what it was before the patch).
-Fixed ship configuration requirements for all cannons (a few cannons could be used by all, and some cannons could not be used by certain ships). All Dual and Heavy Cannons can now be used by all Klingon ships (including the new Tier 2 K'Tanco Battle cruiser), all Federation Escorts, and the Federation Lt Cruiser.-
(This one is very frustrating. Cannons are supposed to be nearly exclusive to klinks if anyone wants to go off on a whats cannon tangent. If one looks at the series all fed ships use phaser arrays and klink ships use primarily disruptor cannons. A few fed ships like the defiant use cannons, I will grant you feds that though. I also realize this isnt cannon per-say, but with the introduction of fed vs fed combat I am seeing little incentive to play my klink anymore).
-All Single Cannons can now be used by any ship.-
(Speaking of incentives to play my klink, this one might have put the nail in the coffin as to the why factor. Time will tell if this is a novelty thing for feds, or if it is the way they will PvP from now on. There are already very few klinks as it is, so getting into PvP might force those of us klinks left to roll a fed just to get into PvP. I know thats why I made my klink, I wanted PvP the whole time, and doing raids was just a bonus option for when they would become available to us all).
-Fed vs. Fed PvP (Wargames) has been opened up for many maps and game types.-
If anyone thinks I am "over reacting" please say so, but do it without flaming. I am trying to think of a reason to play my klink after this all goes live, but I am just not seeing it. To be blunt, the casual Fed PvPers wont fight klinks anymore, and I am betting with them gone the more hardcore ones will follow suite due to lower fed vs klink numbers. And if the feds go, klinks already dont fight very often in KvK combat. So, that leaves basically FvF combat and raids for both sides. Can someone please explain to me where Cryptic is going with this and the other things listed above? I would love to read some feedback as I am both anxious to see this go live, and also disappointed because I have a bad feeling about the future of FvK PvP. I love PvP, and while I am not the best at it, I normally rank close to highest damage and top 4 in healing, and I am a BoP pilot.

You are overreacting. These changed are old news on Tribble, and Klingons are fine on the testserver.
I'm looking forward to play my Klingon.
letting your emotions get the better of you over a video game is most disturbing. Perhaps holding yourself in a corner while gently rocking back and forth will alleviate some of your anger.
When are you people goona stop dumping on people with constructive opinions? At this point I am ready quit just based on how crummy the players that have remained treat each other.

you're kinda forcing it on yourself arent ya ?
.... why complain when yo u have the power to make it go away ?
Perhaps, but I am mad and need to step back after getting some rather rude mail from people about how they will, and I quote one inparticular, "I am gonna do fedVSfed and not any fedVSklink so cry me a river you tard haha haha." To me this is just another example of a fed whose getting what they whined for, and us klinks left have to pay the price. And yet why I am not looking forward to the FvF lines verse the FvK lines since there wont be any feds in the FvK line anymore.
I feel like I am left holding the bag on this one.

Unless they changed that in the past 48 hours, that's still bugged and not working the way they want it to.

I think you are overreacting to the PVP stuff. There's more reason to play a Klingon now that you can level them through some PVE as well as PVP. More work needs to be done on the PVE front, but that's already in store for the next couple of months.

Exactly. I'd roll a Klingon character if there was anything to actually do.
The lack of anything to do except PvP is what's killing the Klingon faction, not giving cannons to cruisers that won't be able to properly use them.
And that's going to be addressed, so . . . what?
To be honest I am not sure what they you are referring to here. I have had no issues as a klink in using cannons on any of my ships. The only thing I can think of is the rear mounts only allowing the turrets, but thats not really an issue to be honest. The only ship for feds I am willing to accept using cannons is the escort lines, because if the rest want to use them they should roll escort or play klink. It is just less incentive to play klink if every other fed has cannons, it just cancels out or damage output advantage and them it is not balanced anymore if everyones using cannons. Content... its sloppy seconds is what it is, and even on my fed that ive been stomaching I dont like to do it very much. I want PvP and large scale raids, not sloppy seconds explorer missions and the like.

If you think there will be FvK PvP I hope you are right, but based off what ive been reading it will be alot of FvF lines, even on other websites ive been reading feds post about how happy they are they wont be dealing with cloaked ships anymore. Do you really think klinks will get much PvP in?

Yup, definitely overreacting. You need to take a step back. It's not what "your" klingon wants that will keep the klingon playerbase happy. It's what most of the players want. And most MMORPG players want PVE and PVP. And that's what Cryptic is trying to give them. You can feel its sloppy seconds and readjust your gameplay accordingly (by playing fed, taking a break, cancelling, whatever). But you're just one person. What the company is trying to do is appeal to the larger audience. And there are quite a few people who avoided the klingon faction because it ONLY had PVP. Now it has PVP and PVE. And will be getting more PVE between now and July.
That's not sloppy seconds to them. And that's what will increase the number of Klingon players.

PvE is meh at best for us left that PvP alot, raids are what we want, not exporer missions. With FvF PvP coming in you are likely to be hard pressed to find any FvK PvP as a klink.
To be honest I am not sure what they you are referring to here.
Look, have you ever actually used a high-tier federation cruiser before? They maneuver like a whale on antidepressants. It's absurd. Why would I even want to put cannons on my flying bathtub? You'd have to pay me in gold-pressed supermodels to even think about equipping weapons with a 45 degree firing arch.
It wouldn't even have a damage output advantage. Beams have a wider firing arc, and the damage doesn't fall as drastically at long range, which matters to me because if you get behind me, I won't be able to turn fast enough to catch you. I can probably do more damage by staying back to just under 8k, cracking up my weapon powers, lumbering over on my side, and just hitting you with more of my beams than I could by trying to use cannons.
So, you're actually worried that I'm going to cancel out your advantages by equipping weapons I don't want, which I can't hit you with and which will do less damage under average circumstances. Good gravy.

Congratulations! You are in the minority. Everyone hates you, but you'll have a close-knit community with other outcasts like yourself.
PvP is a nice change of pace, but it has nothing to do with Star Trek. When I play a Star Trek game, I want to have magical space adventures.
Getting hit in the crotch with a bat'leth by a three-foot high midget named D0C70R S3x0rZ, and that is the best summation of my PvP experiences that I can think of.
I have arrived at a assumption that people complain just because they can, regardless if its valid. If people act this way in a game, I wonder how they survive in the real world? Its very perplexing....

The number of players who PVE and PVP far outnumber you. Which means Klingon Faction needs more of those players. Which means PVE is a priority.
It's the only logical path. The wants of the YOU are outweighed here by the wants of the many.

Cannons come in three types of firing arcs: 360 degrees, 180 degrees, and 45 degrees. The 360 are always on the back slot and sometimes even in the front. The 180 one is the one I am concerned with for the larger fed ships using. The 45 one I can see on the faster turning non-escort ships and also the 180s too.
As for ground combat PvP the feds have a huge advantage here as well as in space. At least for now they do, because of one little thing called fleet actions they have had sole access to until this patch hits. As for after effects of this... time will tell. Me personally do little PvP ground combat even though I have the best of all the PvP gear I have had access too thus far.

. . . are you talking about turrents? We already have those. Beams are better on cruisers.
In any case, it still wouldn't be as effective. DPS falls as weapons arcs increase. A 180 degree cannon would do about the same amount of damage as a dual beam, and we already have those, too.
I think you are overreacting too. However, I dont see anything wrong with your OP. It seems to be an acceptable list of things you dont like in the patch. You do seem to be a little more upset by them than I would have expected. Meaning I dont think they will have as much effect as you think, as far as game play goes.

You are over reacting. Try playing through all the new changes and then come back and provide meaningful feedback.
