Enemy keeps getting "unclicked" when moving in to attack...

Not entirely sure what to call my topic title, but I hope that's the gist of it. :p

Everytime I target an enemy that's like 12 km+ away from me, it's just fine. But once I actually move in to attack, 50 % of the time, I'm suddenly not targeting the enemy anymore and I have to click on him again! This happens all the time for me and it's really irritating since I'm too focused in combat to think about having to click the enemy over and over again...

Could anyone shed some light on this for me, please?

No idea.. Possibly hitting the 'esc' key by accident or tab-targeting and when you loose view of your target it un-targets.

Hrm, the closest thing I've experienced to this is long-range targetting - 16km+. That far away, it says only "Enemy" and often a number. Which means you're targeting an enemy group. Once you get up to around 14km, their individual names begin to show and you are de-targetted from the giant enemy blob you had clicked before.

Which, of course, means more targetting.

I have the same issue, when I'm about to attack targeting jumps and camera rotate 180°
It happens as well on ground missions when I switch weapons.

Never reported because I didn't know if it was a bug.

Glad to hear that it's not only me, this issue has been present pretty much ever since launch day and I have no idea if it's because of some weird configurations in options or whatever. It even happens when I just sit around, pressing ONLY space bar, and suddenly I need to target the enemy AGAIN even though I didn't touch any button.

There is a setting in options that if set will auto-target an enemy that attacks you. There is also a setting that causes you to attack the most threatening enemy.

Either of these could cause you to switch targets.

turn off click on screen deselects target, so that only esc does it.
