I've read that we'll have access to one or two of the same things the Feds have had since launch. So, is that it? We're getting some leftover Fed content and that's suppose to be enough?
Ya, know. This bit about us being stuck in the KDF Ghetto is NOT canon. Watch any ST episode or movie that involves Klingons. Even in the old TOS days, they didn't encounter Klingons in Klingon space, they ran into them all over the place. When will we get some room to move?
Well, at least maybe with exploration there will finally be some ground PVE. Finally some loot drops maybe. Something we can use or sell on the exchange. Finally.
Instead of being broke all the time and barely getting by affording things we need to stay competitive.
But is it enough? Does that mean the Klingon faction is finally fleshed out? Hardly. Again, we'll have to wait until summer to see that probably. And even then I doubt it will be even close to finished.

You get Klingon star clusters(which from my experience doing the Fed ones are really about 6 different missions over and over again with slightly different scenery) and a couple of fleet actions.
What gets me with STO is why couldnt they have randomly generated Patrol missions? Seriously?
I know most of their patrols are programmed in individually but why couldnt they also just be easily randomly generated???
Would work swell for the Klingon faction at least. Exploration missions give this, but they are a mix between ground and space. You never know what you'll get.
In fact it would be cool to have randomly generated ground content for the Klingons too.
Would save a lot of time and add all the content the Klingons really " need ". Until they can add episodic missions that is.....

There's multiple zones to do exploration missions. Two at the Lt. Level thus far. I just hit Lt. Commander. There's a fleet action. It's solo-able. Oddly enough. If you have four hours to kill. There's also added bonus "X" missions. Like you get rewards for killing X number of Turrets. Or X number of NPC ships. Or X number of NPCs on away missions.
There is, by sheer volume, a fair bit of new content for Klingons.
Then there's the bugs.
Which are being reported. And will hopefully be fixed. But here's a short list:
1- Scanners don't work on away missions very well. A lot of away missions involve destroying mission objectives. Like borg devices. But you can't find them. They're small. The terrain is obscuring them.
2- Away team AI has some glitches in terms of following your commands or auto-firing.
3- Some missions bug out. Like the space war zone one with the borg repair hulks and what not. Still very buggy.
4- No crafting anamolies. So like you hit an exploration zone, and go fly by things trying to activate a mission and you get 2 that say "nothing here for the empire" ... and one that activates the mission. Feds, on the other hand, get crafting items.
5- Loot drops are giving me aid planet commodoties. The klingon missions I've sone so far are all combat of some sort. No aid planet. Why get aid planet stuff at all?
6- PVP is ... rather hard to test on the server. No one signs up for it on the Klingon side when I'm on. So I have no feedback I can give you there for any of that content.
7- Space Combat seems to heavily outweigh all other content. Since Klingons already got their fill of space combat before, I was hoping for more chances to beam to the surface with my mobile reptilian unit of hungy Gorn. Sigh.
well at least the klingon cluster missions are different from the fed ones. I've encountered some to run through a ship destroying computer consoles, poking around an asteroid field and blowing up enemies/asteroids. a few others that I can't remember.
They're not super interesting but it's not like they just said "Make exactly the same missions but change Starflleet to KDF in the mission text"

agreed look how long it took them to give the feds what thay have now, plus to announce a new playable faction on top of everything else that needs done, but dont get me wrong i cant wait for thhe rom side to open.

A dev post in the latest engineering report said that no new factions are being considered until klingons are fleshed out.

Keep in mind that going by their own calendar, Klingons should be fleshed out by July-ISH.
So even though development speed can sometimes seem glacial when compared to even just half impulse speed ... a new faction should be in development in the near future if they stick to their calendar. And so far they've been sticking to it.

I'd love to read that. Do you have a link?
