So, once again I log in to do my "Dailys"

I go and take the mission to chart the B'Tran Sector daily and end up with at least one glitch per day. Sometimes enemies decide to go on coffee break or strike. Sometimes, like today, stuff falls through the map or is half buried to the point that you cannot collect it. Sometimes I beam up, go back, nothing changes. Sometimes I even log off, no difference. Besides of this and the annoying missions you get linked up automatically with a teammate and get no credit for the missions leads me to my point, no I am not going to go off on an anti-STO rant like others...

I have a suggestion that would help in some cases like the one I was just in.

Earlier I got a mission to a planet, heavy dust storm, craggy terrain, enemy units, and collect medical supplies. Well, vision was so poor I had to rely on that cheap Chinese knock off device called a scanner. Let me first say that the terrain was so bad, the dust so heavy I actually ran off a cliff and into the loving arms of a waiting enemy unit... the result was not pretty (that should paint the picture for you). Couple that with some buried anomlys that you cannot clear and you have the makings for a long mission.

Even Captain Archer had better scanning equipment. They could always figure out that X was X meters away or that one crewmate could be picked out of a crowd or even... (dare I say it...) what weapons the enemy had! So what do you say Devs... how about a REAL Scanner? Let us upgrade this dime store thing that would be laughable to ST: Enterprise. Let us pick if we want to go to that wierd reading or not. Let us be able to choose our direction and how far away it is. That way, if junk falls to the bottom of a map, you will be able to tell a bit by distance rather than cuss because you are in that blue/white computer room that makes it hard to see the beam. How about a multi beams, colored... or an actual shot of the scanner showing a map with (labeled) X marks the spot. Something, anything would be an improvement over what we have now. ALSO, how about some real scans of the enemy? You know, like "Captain, the X are armed with X and Y... I am picking up X type engines" occasionally? It just might help us select what to do, I mean, is this game designed for the chicken brained run in button mashers or to be thought out? If the game is only for the chicken brained run in button mashers, then maybe I should rethink my subscription. Star Trek was always about thinking, not only brawn. Sure a game needs to be fun, short, playable, avoids headaches, and be appealing to the masses. That is a hard thing to do, but, couldn't we have a bit more "intelligence" (play on words here).:)

Yeah, I hate when it tells you to destroy enemies and draws this big, long oval where the destruction of the enemies is to take place...then forgets to draw the enemies. Very tedious.
