now i know it's canon and i know it makes sense that my klingon fed character should not be able to use a my special edition lvl 9 tribble.
but if that was true then it should also be canon that my kdf unknown alien should be able to use a tribble, but as it stands no kdf can use a tribble and all feds except for a klingon can use a tribble
this is kind of unfair i feel
not only did i pay extra to get the special tribble i wish to use. but i also paid extra money to be able to play the klingon.... i was under the impression that all feds could use tribbles and all kdf could use targs, while all kdf can use targs, not all feds can use tribbles, and are thus losing out on a very advanced aspect of the game (why tribble breed if you can;t use tribbles? )
so it seems like the fed klingons are left holding no stick at all, not only can't they use tribbles but they also can't use what thier kdf brothers have (the targ minipet )
the even more annoying thing about this is that liberated borg klingons CAN use tribbles......
what's up with that?
why are the federation klingons getting so left out =[, they made a choice to go to the fed because they felt they'd be treated as equal, so why are they so hated? D=
well:
1. no one forced you to play a federation klingon, so choosing to play one entails accepting the consequences of that choice. It's the same as why playing a joined trill means I can't take the "power 4" trait combo available to alien charcters, playing a Tactical officer means i can't use photonic fleet, and playing a federation character means i can't fly a bird of prey.
2. cannonically tribbles behave the same way around Warf as they do any other klingons so there's no basis for a distinction from the source material
3. you can still breed tribbles for use by your non klingon bridge officers, or to sell/supply friends.
Like I said in the other thread you started on this. They need to change it so the Pet selection is determined by species, not faction.
KDF officers that are NOT Klingon should be able to choose the Tribble. Fed officers that are Klingon should able to choose the Targ.
Tribbles should be fixed so that they can work for KDF officers that are not Klingon. They currently work for Liberated Borg Klingons only. They should work for all KDF species except Klingon.
That's the way it should be done. They should not throw canon out the window.

I would agree with this but add that I think Targs should be added that give comparable buffs and should work for Klingons on either side. With the pre-order Targ being given a "three stat buff" like the pre-order Tribble.

just sayin'
i know, canonly speaking fed klingons should not be aloud to use tribbles so facts #1 and #2 are true (though it would have been nice if the description informed me of this before i went out and bought the money for the c-store and the rare tribble )
though i think you overlooked my point a little bit. i'm ok with ALL klingons not being about to use a tribble, that's fine IF, all klingons could use targs (all the kfd can use targs, why can't my fed klingon use a targ too?) or also how come the unknown alien KDFs can't use tribbles? they're not klingons? how come the gorn, or the orion cannot use a tribble? they are not klingons, after all

my apologies for not seeing your post, i lost the thread in the jumbles of "remove skill cap" posts ;>.>....
also a small "minor" note if you wanted to be insanely canon to the point of being unfun... kdf can't use tribbles because the ruling counsel (the klingons) forbid it, tribbles = forbidden in klingon space... thus as part of being in the kdf you are not aloud a tribble.

Romulan Ale is illegal in Federation space. That doesn't stop pretty much every captain from having a supply of the stuff. It's canon to do things that are not strictly by the book.
So, KDF officers could have tribbles. It would just not be a good idea to use them around Klingon officers and especially never on Qo'Nos.
And it's spelled "allowed", btw.
Spot is not allowed to go outside.
TRIBBLE spoke the words aloud.

me fail english =/
but one can assume also if one looks at who belong in the kdf (pirates, warriors cutthroats) that they wouldn't really want a tribble in the first place...
it's kinda like black beard having barney the dinosaur as a first mate >_> takes away from the whole "pirate warrior" mystic....
now of course an insanely cute pirate who wants to steal your booty can be done, but it's very very rare and takes ALOT of skill.... for example me <.... i'm a KDF and a panda, panda's are one of the cutest things in the world, how then can anybody take a panda in a pirate suit seriously?... well... it's a secret =o
